Went to the mall last week and was amazed with not only the number of people there but also with the lavish and spectacular Christmas decorations that the mall put up. You can't miss the feeling of the Yuletide season with the Christmas music sweetly wafting in the background subliminally suggesting to shoppers to just go and buy anything. It's Christmas!
It's great that our city, and the rest of the country for that matter, has relaxed on its quarantine restrictions and has opened up almost everything. Heaven knows this is just what our economy needs right now to start the long recovery from the adverse effects of the pandemic.
Photo above is my entry to this Round. It's the reflection of the Christmas tree on the marble floor of the shopping mall. The Christmas tree is easily 20 feet tall and fully adorned with Christmas lights from top to bottom.
Beside the Christmas tree is a real live tree which they brought inside the mall and strung up with lights too.
It's getting to look a lot like Christmas over here. The malls are happy. The department stores are all smiles. The food business is making a big comeback. The shoppers are all out with their kids, buying and eating, and providing the jumpstart needed to rev up the economy. What better time for this to happen.
