Construction of Ground Beams

πŸ™ŒHe'llo I send a friendly greetings to all the Architectural Design lovers in Hive. Trust your all doing well.

So today I was at site to Finish up the Casting of Reinforced concrete ground beam, so i decided to shear my reasons for applying the ground Beams.

πŸ‘‰ For Load Distribution: Ground beams help distribute the load of the building evenly across the foundation. This prevents localized stress on the soil, which could lead to uneven settling and structural issues.

πŸ‘‰ For Supporting Walls and Columns: I Observed the soil may not be strong enough to support the weight of the building directly, so these Ground beams will provide additional support to walls and columns, preventing them from sinking or shifting.

πŸ‘‰ To Stabilize the Structure: these ground beams will help resist lateral forces, such as those from wind or earthquakes, providing stability to the overall structure.

πŸ‘‰ To Minimize Differential Settlement: Differential settlement occurs when different parts of a building settle at different rates, causing structural issues. Ground beams help minimize this by providing a uniform support to the building.
