The program of remodeling and beautification of the squares and iconic sites of the city of Maturin, brought great improvements and in some cases were expanded landmarks that are important meeting points and rest for residents and visitors of the distinct city of the north eastern region of Venezuela and capital of Monagas state, advancing in my tour of this beautiful city I share my visit to the Bolivar Square, located opposite the headquarters of the state government and the church San Simon on Monagas Street; It also converges with the economic center of the city, where the main clothing, cosmetics and footwear stores are located.
El programa de remodelación y embellecimiento de las plazas y sitios icónicos de la ciudad de Maturín, trajo grandes mejoras y en algunos casos se ampliaron los hitos que constituyen importantes puntos de encuentro y descanso para los habitantes y visitantes de la ciudad distinta de la región nor oriental de Venezuela y capital del estado Monagas, avanzando en mi recorrido por esta linda ciudad les comparto mi visita a la plaza Bolívar, ubicada frente al edificio sede de la gobernación del estado y la iglesia san Simón en la calle Monagas; converge además con el centro económico de la ciudad, donde se localizan las principales tiendas de ropa, cosméticos y calzados.

The statue of the Liberator on this occasion presents him standing dressed very elegantly, very different from the statue that is regularly seen in books mounted on his horse, in fact I have rarely seen the statue of Bolivar in this form.
Como lo he mencionado en publicaciones anteriores las ciudades y pueblos de Venezuela cuentan con una plaza Bolívar, en homenaje y agradecimiento al Libertador por su destacada participación en el proceso de emancipación del país del dominio español, la plaza Bolívar de la ciudad de Maturín destaca por grandes arboles y excelente ubicación, la escultura de Simón Bolívar descansa en una base de mármol con forma de pirámide, los escalones principales son planos y los tres últimos más anchos en ellos se ubica el soporte de la estatua que está decorado con un escudo de bronce en la parte delantera, placas a los lados donde se describen algunos episodios de la vida del Libertador, seguidamente una cinta decorativa de mármol, en la parte superior varias hojas decoran el contorno del planchón donde está la estatua.
La estatua del Libertador en esta ocasión lo presenta de pie vestido muy elegante, muy diferente a la estatua que regularmente se observa en los libros montado en su caballo, de hecho en pocas ocasiones he visto la estatua de Bolívar en esta forma.
The square has large trees and green areas and an iron fence in black color and in its remodeling new elements were incorporated that make it more colorful even educational, in the seats they added plaques with the famous thoughts of the Liberator, the posts are black with iron ornaments and LED lights at the top, this type of lights are widely used for their great potential and durability.
At night hours you can appreciate the scope of the lights, the square looks beautiful and bright creating a pleasant atmosphere for family recreation, personally I liked the new view of the square and the thoughts of the Liberator on the seats, I think it is a great strategy to publicize the vision of the father of the fatherland and encourage reading in children and adults, I would have liked to spend more time and talk with a man of the city about the history of the square and city in general but due to the time factor was not possible. Definitely the city of Maturin has incredible and charming places that invite visitors to return again to live beautiful experiences and adventures in this beautiful city that every day becomes more relevant.
La plaza cuenta con árboles de gran tamaño y áreas verdes y una cerca de hierro en color negro y en su remodelación se incorporaron nuevos elementos que la hacen más vistosa incluso educativa, en los asientos agregaron placas con los pensamientos célebres del Libertador, los poste son de color negro con adornos de hierro y las luminarias LED en la parte superior, este tipo de luminarias son muy usadas por su gran potencial y durabilidad.
En horas nocturnas se puede apreciar el alcance que tienen las luminarias la plaza luce hermosa y con mucha luz creando un agradable ambiente para el esparcimiento familiar, en lo personal me gustó la nueva vista de la plaza y los pensamientos del Libertador en los asientos, creo que es una gran estrategia para dar a conocer la visión del padre de la patria e incentivar la lectura en niños y adultos, me hubiese gustado pasar más tiempo y conversar con algún Señor de la ciudad sobre la historia de la plaza y ciudad en general pero por el factor tiempo no fue posible. Definitivamente la ciudad de Maturín tiene increíbles y encantadores lugares que invitan al visitante a volver nuevamente para vivir lindas experiencias y aventuras en esta hermosa ciudad que cada día adquiere más relevancia.
