Finding Strength in Numbers: How Collaboration Builds Resilience

In our quest for success and fulfillment, we're not alone on this path, and basically everyone have something they're chasing that they dream to achieve, some of which can be simplified to an individual, others are the goal of an organization or a group of people, and regardless of the cases, I've come to realize that working collectively with others with one mindset can go on to yield greater results than doing that alone.

Even the bible in Deuteronomy 32:30 said one will chase a thousand, while two will chase ten thousand; that's verse on it on literally analyzing the possibilities that can be achieved when we collaborate with others on a course rather than doing it alone, although doing things alone doesn't necessarily mean we won't achieve what we're longing to achieve.

But collaboration takes you several steps closer to that possibility for many reasons; that's what I'll be highlighting and briefly explaining in the course of this write-up, and to start with, one of such reasons is the fact that while you may only depend on your own judgement and reasoning when you do things alone, collaborating gives room for everyone to share their knowledge, experience, and ideas that can help draw you closer to achieving what you're longing for.

Another on the list of reasons why collaboration is a good thing is the fact that, when you do things alone and you get to a point where you're tired and need to rest, that's usually suggest that such a journey would be brought to a halt for the time being, but when you journey with others towards achieving a course or ambition, even when you're tired, others can still take up the mantle and journey ahead until you're rejuvenized to continue, or better still, they serve as a motivator and encourager who inspires you to keep going.

Another beauty of collaboration is division of labor, which almost goes along with what I just explained above, but the major difference and beauty about this is that, unlike when you work alone and have to do every aspect of the tasks that would take you to your dream, in collaboration there's a form of division of labor, whereby tasks and duties are distributed equally or according to each person's capacity and knowledge.

And this goes on to not make any one of the team completely drained and overwhelmed, like someone who's doing everything all alone by themselves. Collaboration, or division of labor, is an essential part of life, and that's needed to get the right results we all desire, and that's because when together, we tend to face each difficult challenge head-on together, and this makes the journey easier and more seamless.

When you take a look at a bunch of broom and you remove one piece of it, and then you decide to bend it, what you'll notice is that such a broom will break easily in the process, but try to do the same with a whole bunch of broom, and then you'll notice how resilient and committed they're to not breaking, showing you how powerful unity is compared to standing alone.

So with that being said, is there by chance any path you're threading alone all this time, and it seems like it's taking forever for you to achieve your desire? Why not look for someone with whom you share value and have a lot in common to journey with you on that path, and you'll notice how your journey would become more seamless, easier, and pleasant because the person wouldn't only be a support system in the quest but also a shoulder to lean on in times of difficulties and challenges?
