Dear hivers and friends of the #dailyblog community, I hope this week is off to a great start. Today I want to share with you a ride we took into town to plan and book a ride we want to do at Waterland.
This morning, I woke up early, aware that my husband and I had to head into town. However, our destinations were very different, which led us to make a decision: one of us would travel by car, while the other would opt for stalls. So, we left home with a clear plan in mind.
Our agreement was simple: upon completing our respective tasks, we would meet at a specific point in the city. I took the car to fulfill my obligation, while my husband continued on his way on public transportation. The morning was cool and full of anticipation.
On the way, I stopped by the Unik Hotel to deliver some outstanding bills. There, amidst the transactions and cordial greetings, I met my husband. We had agreed to meet at that very spot, and his smile upon seeing me confirmed that we were on the same page.
Together, we headed off to find out how to book a visit to Waterland. This place, I had heard about from a friend.
Queridos hivers y amigos de la comunidad #dailyblog, espero que esta semana haya comenzado excelente. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un recorrido que hicimos hacia la ciudad para planificar y reservar un paseo que queremos hacer en Waterland.
Esta mañana, me desperté temprano, consciente de que mi esposo y yo teníamos que dirigirnos a la ciudad. Sin embargo, nuestros destinos eran muy diferentes, lo que nos llevó a tomar una decisión: uno de nosotros viajaría en auto, mientras que el otro optaría por los carros por puestos. Así, salimos de casa con un plan claro en mente.
Nuestro acuerdo era sencillo: al completar nuestras respectivas tareas, nos encontraríamos en un punto específico de la ciudad. Yo tomé el auto para cumplir con mi obligación, mientras mi esposo seguía su camino en el transporte público. La mañana estaba fresca y llena de expectativas.
En el trayecto, pasé por el Hotel Unik para entregar algunas facturas pendientes. Allí, entre las transacciones y los saludos cordiales, me encontré con mi esposo. Habíamos acordado encontrarnos en ese mismo punto, y su sonrisa al verme confirmó que estábamos en sintonía.
Juntos, nos dirigimos a averiguar cómo reservar una visita a Waterland. Este lugar, del que había oído hablar gracias a una amiga.
For those of you who don't know Waterland, it's a kind of dolphinarium that offers scheduled visits where you can interact with dolphins. A friend suggested it to me, so today I headed there.
Para aquellos que no conocen Waterland, es una especie de delfinario que ofrece visitas programadas donde puedes interactuar con los delfines. Una amiga me lo sugirió, así que hoy dirigí mis pasos hacia allá.
Waterland is located in the Maneiro municipality of Nueva Esparta state, on Margarita Island, right next to Diverland, another recreation center that is currently under maintenance.
Waterland está ubicado en el municipio Maneiro del estado Nueva Esparta, en la Isla Margarita, justo al lado de Diverland, otro centro de recreación que actualmente está en mantenimiento.
Since the island will soon be in high season, we wanted to plan a day to enjoy the dolphins. Upon arrival, we were met at the door and provided with the necessary explanations and information. Although the entrance prices did not match those posted on the sign, I was satisfied with the information.
Now we just have to adjust our time and work. If we cannot do it next month, we will have to postpone it to September or October, when the season is not at its peak.
Dado que pronto la isla estará en temporada alta, queremos planificar un día para disfrutar con los delfines. Al llegar, nos atendieron en la puerta y nos proporcionaron las explicaciones e información necesaria. Aunque los precios de entrada no coincidían con los publicados en el cartel, quedé satisfecha con la información.
Ahora solo nos queda ajustar nuestro tiempo y trabajo. Si no podemos hacerlo el próximo mes, tendremos que posponerlo para septiembre u octubre, cuando la temporada no esté en su apogeo.
When I left Waterland, as is my custom, I dedicated myself to appreciating the landscape around me. The sky with its beautiful blue and parts with clouds contrasted nicely with the surroundings. I could see the well-kept karting track just behind the entrance. In addition, I spotted the old dog track, which has not been in operation for years. According to a gentleman who saw us taking pictures, this complex used to be very active decades ago. Interestingly, the current karting track was part of the old canodrome parking lot.
Al salir de Waterland, como es costumbre en mí, me dediqué a apreciar el paisaje que me rodeaba. El cielo con su hermoso azul y partes con nubes contrastaba muy bien con el entorno. Pude ver la bien cuidada pista de karting justo detrás de la entrada. Además, divisé el antiguo canódromo, que lleva años sin funcionar. Según un señor que nos vio tomando fotos, este complejo solía ser muy activo décadas atrás. Curiosamente, la pista de karting actual era parte del antiguo estacionamiento del canódromo.
In front of this karting racing area, on the top of a small hill, there are several housing developments that have the privilege of enjoying an exceptional view. If there are races, it is like being in the front row of a boat.
Frente a esta área de carreras de karting, en la cima de un pequeño cerro, se encuentran varias urbanizaciones que tienen el privilegio de disfrutar de una vista excepcional. Si hay carreras, es como estar en primera fila de un barco.
After appreciating the surroundings and the excellent views that nature gave us, we started our way back home with a lot of information and many details to plan for our next ride. Today I learned something new about the old dog track and the "gallera".
