Espero que estén muy bien hoy✨. Yo estoy feliz porque finalmente terminé el intensivo universitario y aprobé ambas materias con buenas notas.
Este fue nuestro último día con la materia Principios de la Ingeniería II y tuvimos una actividad interesante de la cual quería contarles un poco al respecto.

I hope you are doing well today✨. I am happy because I finally finished the university intensive and passed both subjects with good grades.
This was our last day of Principles of Engineering II and we had an interesting activity that I wanted to tell y'all about.
El profesor Jerry nos había asignado esta actividad que se trataba de hacerle mantenimiento al ahumador de nuestra carrera (realizar este ahumador fue un proyecto de los que están más avanzados) porque ya tenía tiempo sin usarse y también haríamos una prueba con el mismo una vez que estuviera limpio.
Así que nos pusimos manos a la obra. Cuando llegué estaba mi amigo Gabriel junto a otro compañero y poco a poco fueron llegando más compañeros como mi amiga Michelle, Edgarys y Arslens.
Professor Jerry had assigned us this activity, which was about maintaining our career smoker (making this smoker was a project of those who are more advanced) because it had been unused for some time. We would also do a test with it once it was clean.
So we got down to work. When I arrived, my friend Gabriel was with another colleague, and slowly, more colleagues arrived, like my friend Michelle, Edgarys, and Arslens.

Nos turnamos para ir limpiando el ahumador siguiendo las instrucciones del profesor y cuando habíamos terminado lo pasamos hacia el área donde estaríamos trabajando.
No solo había que preparar el ahumador, sino también los mesones donde haríamos la actividad. Admito que esta fue la primera vez que entrabamos a este lugar, que por ahora es el lugar que nos asignaron para realizar nuestras prácticas, porque ya les he comentado que nosotros no tenemos un laboratorio y esa es una de nuestras luchas más grandes, pues nuestra carrera, Ingeniería de los Alimentos requiere de prácticas.
We took turns cleaning the smoker following the teacher's instructions and when we had finished we moved it to the area where we would be working.
Not only did we have to prepare the smoker, but also the counters where we would be doing the activity. I admit that this was the first time we entered this place, which for now is the place we were assigned to perform our practices, because I have already told you that we do not have a laboratory and that is one of our biggest struggles, because our career, Food Engineering requires practices.

Sin embargo, mis compañeros son los mejores y siempre buscan la manera de resolver estas problemáticas y con el pasar de los años, gracias a los proyectos asignados, tenemos material de laboratorio y siempre buscan la manera de conseguir lo que se necesite para realizar algunas prácticas, que no deberíamos, pero qué puedo decirles, universidad pública en un país con problemas políticos y escasa atención a la educación.
Me impresionó ver algunos hornos y cocinas aquí, realmente no tengo idea de si funcionarán o si tienen años abandonados.
Limpiamos bien los mesones y las áreas alrededor y finalmente dejamos todo listo para poder empezar con la práctica, pero eso se los dejaré para otra publicación.
However, my colleagues are the best and always look for ways to solve these problems over the years, thanks to the assigned projects, we have laboratory material and always look for ways to get what is needed to perform some practices, which we should not, but what can I tell you, public university in a country with political problems and little attention to education.
I was impressed to see some ovens and kitchens here, I really have no idea if they will work or if they have been abandoned for years.
We cleaned the counters and surrounding areas well and finally got everything ready to start the practice, but I'll leave that for another post.

Estuve emocionada por ser mi primera práctica en este lugar y porque adoro las explicaciones del profe Jerry, es un profesor con mucha vocación y pasión por lo que hace, además, junto a varios compañeros, sacamos la nota máxima en la materia, 5/5.
Gracias por acompañarme en este corto periodo donde cursé estas dos materias, ha sido una travesía, pero pronto comienza el otro semestre, así que vamos por más💪🏽.
I was excited because it was my first practice in this place and because I love the explanations of Prof. Jerry, he is a teacher with a lot of vocation and passion for what he does, also, along with several colleagues, we got the highest grade in the subject, 5/5.
Thank you for accompanying me in this short period where I took these two subjects, it has been a journey, but soon the next semester begins, so let's go for more💪🏽.
