During the last holiday we had here in Argentina, I decided to go on an adventure with my younger son to the capital city. Our idea was to walk around the tourist areas of Palermo, check out the book sale to see if we liked any, and have a snack before heading back home.
But some strange noises led us off the planned route, and curiosity got the better of common sense, so we headed toward the source with the intention of finding out what or who was causing it.
Just a few steps more and we found ourselves immersed in prehistory! We stumbled upon a place where we were greeted by a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex, which was not only daunting in terms of its size, but also the sounds it made!
As we ran looking for a safe spot, one of them caught my son, whom I had to rescue from its jaws before it took him away from me.
There were all kinds of them, and although I didn't know if they were carnivorous or not, we were running trying to escape, and looking for a way to get back. Who told us to go inventing!
We arrived at a small house, it was open and we took shelter there, but in a few seconds a long neck peeked through the roof, making us leave immediately. We even thought that after this, we wouldn't be able to make it back home.
One of them was about to enter the forest, and in a careless moment, I took the opportunity to take a photo with him, because if we survived, surely no one would believe me if I didn't document that encounter.
In the distance, I saw a group of people, so I took my son's hand and we ran in that direction. In that area, there were only fossils of these dinosaurs, I think we advanced a few years in that last race.
Finally, we found the way out of this unexpected encounter with prehistory, inside the ecopark of the city of Buenos Aires, where we really had a great time.
And you, did you really believe we traveled back in time?
En el último feriado que tuvimos acá en Argentina, decidí escaparme a una aventura con mi hijo menor a la ciudad capital. Nuestra idea era caminar un poco por las zonas turísticas de Palermo, revisar la venta de libros a ver si nos gustaba alguno, y tomar una merienda antes de regresar a casa.
Pero unos ruidos extraños nos desviaron de la ruta planificada, y pudo más la curiosidad que el sentido común, así que nos fuimos hacia donde provenían, con la intención de saber qué o quién lo producía.
Solo unos pasos más y terminamos sumergidos en la prehistoria! Caímos en un lugar donde nos recibió un gran Tiranosaurio Rex, que no solo era atemorizante en cuanto a su tamaño, sino también los sonidos que emitía!
Mientras más corríamos en búsqueda de un sitio seguro, uno de ellos atrapó a mi hijo, a quien tuve que rescatar de su mandíbula antes de que se lo llevara lejos de mi.
Habían de todas clases, y aunque no sabía si eran carnívoros o no, estuvimos corriendo tratando de escapar, y buscando la manera de regresar. Quién nos manda a estar inventando!
Llegamos a una pequeña casa, estaba abierta y nos resguardamos ahí, pero en pocos segundos un cuello largo se asomó por el techo, haciendo que salieramos de inmediato. Inclusive pensamos que luego de esto, no lograríamos volver a casa.
Uno de ellos se disponía a entrar al bosque, y en un descuido, aproveché para fotografiarme con él, pues de salvarnos, seguramente nadie me creería si no documentaba ese encuentro.
A lo lejos, vi un grupo de personas, así que tomé la mano de mi hijo y corrimos en esa dirección. En esa parte, estaban solo fósiles de estos dinosaurios, creo que avanzamos unos cuantos años en esa última carrera.
Finalmente, dimos con la salida de este encuentro inesperado con la prehistoria, dentro del ecoparque de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, en donde realmente lo pasamos genial.
Y ustedes, realmente creyeron que viajamos en el tiempo?
