DUST BUSTED! MY LONG-DAY CLEANING ADVENTURE

Saturdays are part of my favorite days of the week because I get to do most of my favorite activities and it’s nice! I mean getting to do something you want to do without any distractions or unexpected occurrences. So yesterday being the 12th day of the month of October, I decided to take my time to do a thorough cleaning at home since I’d be traveling back to school today.

Exactly one week ago, I fell sick and I barely even got better and I’m happy to see that I’m feeling much better than how I started the previous week. It was immediately after Sunday school I started feeling feverish, I knew I didn’t like how I was feeling especially because I had catarrh and later into the week I had cough too, it wasn’t easy at all because for the first 3 days it felt like I was only getting worse even when I was on medications.

So yesterday, I already made up my mind to wake up as early as I can to start the clean up because I knew it would cost me most of my day. I was ready for it so I had to wake up early so I could get my post done so I could get the whole day to myself to get the job done. My day started off really well and I was really happy doing what I enjoy doing and that is cleaning!

First, I had to start cleaning my room and then I went to the little corner at the back of the house. It was looking like somewhere that has been abandoned for years because we hardly ever have any reason to go there. I can’t even remember the number of spiders I saw while taking down their webs.

I couldn’t get the first view of what I saw but it was more than these images you can see. Well, I totally had fun while cleaning that particular area because I was listening to my favorite playlist and I was progressing as well.

This is how that place looks now and it feels so clean because now you can use your barefoot to walk around and not get it dirty, hehe.

Immediately I finished with that side of the house, I quickly went to help myself with some food because I needed to take my medications and also I needed to refuel, hehe.

I didn’t even rest for long before I continued my cleaning because I knew I had so much to do and I love taking my time because I always want the best when it comes to cleaning.

I swept the living room thoroughly, cleaned the ceiling fan and then I moved quickly to mobbing everywhere as well. I had to move the couch because it’s been a while that was done.

The results were satisfying, the house just kept sparkling, I was happy with myself to the point that I didn’t feel too tired to even take a rest until I was totally done.

Immediately I finished cleaning the living room and mobbing the whole interior, I went out to the vestibule. Even though I always make sure to keep it clean, today I went the extra mile to find a good spot for footwear’s.

Oh! There is more, I also had to wash the bathrooms. There are two, the one in the master bedroom and the other one for the other room which happens to be the room I sleep in.

Once I was done, I went ahead to also do the dishes and then the laundry. I did the laundry with the washing machine, so while the clothes were in there, I used that time to take my bath because I was already feeling really dirty.

I spent over 8 hours doing the general cleaning and I rested for less than 20 minutes in between. Until I was completely done, I didn’t really feel tired but now my back aches, lol.

I’m actually traveling back to school today like I mentioned earlier, so I will try to get more rest when I get to my hostel at school.

I wish you all and myself a productive week ahead ❤️.
