Good morning to all. Yesterday was a day of celebration, October is here and we are getting closer to Christmas, and several friends had birthdays. In this month many dear people have birthdays. I have 5 cousins on my mother's side, four of them have birthdays this month, and they are siblings. So, since I was a child, the month of October was one celebration after another in my family's house, starting today with the first of those four birthdays.

Tengo 5 primos por parte de mi madre, que cuatro de ellos cumplen años en este mes, y son hermanos. O sea, desde niños el mes de octubre fue un festejo tras de otro en la casa de mi familia, comenzando hoy con el primero de esos cuatro cumpleaños.

I took great care in preparing the gift for my friend. I had no paper or gift bags, so I got creative and made a craft paper wrapper, using two craft bags that I always have in my stash, and a thin ribbon to make the bow. The card was also made from the same paper.

No tenía ni papel, ni bolsas de regalo, por lo que me puse creativa y le fabriqué un envoltorio de papel craft, usando dos bolsas craft que siempre tengo guardadas, y mecatillo fino para hacer el lazo. Igualmente la tarjeta, fue elaborada del mismo papel.

She opened it with great delicacy, until we all shouted at her to tear it, because according to tradition, if you tear the paper, you get more gifts. Our country and its beautiful beliefs. She really enjoyed her surprise party, and her gifts.

Well into the night, we all sang her happy birthday together with great joy, tasted the delicious cake, and took pictures to keep as a souvenir and not forget those beautiful moments.

Ya bien entrada la noche, todos juntos le cantamos su cumpleaños feliz con mucha alegría, probamos el rico pastel, realmente delicioso, y nos tomamos fotitos para guardarlas de recuerdo y no olvidar esos bellos momentos.

In these fast-paced and worrying times, we deserve to break those worries to give ourselves days like this. Not only do we keep beautiful memories, but it also relieves us from daily stress. As my little bee said: “We have to live life, and not let life live us”.

En estos tiempos tan acelerados y preocupantes, nos merecemos romper esas preocupaciones para regalarnos días así. No sólo se guardan recuerdos bonitos, sino que nos alivia el estrés cotidiano. Como dijo mi abejita: “Hay que vivir la vida, y no dejar que la vida nos viva”.
