Hello, happy Saturday to all. Emphasizing the yellow September for mental health, yesterday we organized a day of games and integration among the members of Team Vida, the club where I train. Our trainers not only work daily in us functional exercise that improves our physical health, constancy, stretching of muscles to avoid contractions and cramps, and proper nutrition that is part of this healthy process, but also mental and emotional well-being through meetings and recreational activities workshops.

Haciendo énfasis en el septiembre amarillo en pro de la salud mental, ayer se organizó un día de juegos e integración entre los miembros del Team Vida, club donde entreno. Nuestras entrenadoras no sólo trabajan a diario en nosotros el ejercicio funcional que mejora nuestra salud física, la constancia, el estiramiento de los músculos para evitar contracciones y calambres, y la debida nutrición que es parte de este proceso saludable, sino también el bienestar mental y emocional a través de reuniones y talleres de actividades recreativas.

It is well known that games and laughter are two of the best therapies to relieve stress and stabilize our emotions. Healthy mind, healthy body, says a popular phrase. Team Vida met yesterday afternoon to attend an Integration Workshop led by Mr. José Miguel Maicabares, an emotional wellness workshop guide, as well as an event entertainer, hospital clown, mime, theater actor, among other specialties that go hand in hand with mental health.

Es bien sabido que los juegos y la risa son dos de las mejores terapias para aliviar el estrés y estabilizar nuestras emociones. Mente sana, cuerpo sano, dice una frase popular. El team Vida se dio cita ayer en la tarde para asistir a un Taller de Integración dirigido por el Licenciado José Miguel Maicabares, guía de talleres de bienestar emocional, así como también animador de eventos, payaso de hospital, mimo, actor de teatro, entre otras especialidades que van de la mano con la salud mental.

They were 4 hours of pleasant conversation, games, and snacks so healthy that it could be said that they healed any trace of stress generated in the last few days. Definitely, we have to bet on more days like this one. The cost of the workshop was $3.00, and it was a wonderful investment.

Fueron 4 horas de amena conversación, juegos, y merienda tan saludables que se podría decir que sanaron cualquier rastro de estrés generado los últimos días. Definitivamente, hay que apostar por más días como éste. El costo del taller tenía un valor de 3$, y fue una maravillosa inversión.

The workshop began with the introduction of the participants and the driver, and a brief talk on the importance of teamwork in all areas of our daily lives; work, family, and social. He made it clear that in order to achieve group and individual goals, it was necessary to have good communication among the members because success depended on that good interaction.

El taller comenzó con la presentación de los participantes y el conductor, y una breve charla de la importancia del trabajo en equipo en todos los ámbitos de nuestra vida cotidiana; laboral, familiar, y social. Nos dejaba en claro que para alcanzar metas grupales, e individuales, se debía tener una buena comunicación entre los integrantes porque el éxito dependía de esa buena interacción.

He gave us a combo of very fun games, both physical and mental agility, and in each one we laughed as much as in the others. It was so much fun, and honestly, I felt refreshed and relaxed like never before.

Nos brindó un combo de juegos muy divertidos, tanto físicos como de agilidad mental, y en cada uno nos reímos tanto como en los otros. Fue demasiado divertido, y sinceramente, me sentí renovada y relajada como nunca.

My team formed by three members, my daughter Rosa, Antonella, a beautiful girl in the group, and I, named it “The little mermaids”, because it was the first thing that came to our minds when we looked at the aquarium in the room, hahaha.

Mi team formado por tres integrantes, mi hija Rosa, Antonella, una hermosa chica del grupo, y yo, le pusimos de nombre “Las sirenitas”, porque fue lo primero que se nos ocurrió al mirar el acuario que había en el salón, jajaja.

It was a wonderful afternoon/evening, very nourishing mentally and emotionally, and most importantly, we added life to life, that's what it was all about.
