Sharing this from fact and experience, this is my 8th batch of rearing broiler birds. Ranging from numbers to numbers. I have reared 50,100,150 and 200 birds before which has been he highest so far in different weathers and conditions. I have a lot of experiences concerning broiler birds. What really crown my experience is rearing birds from day old, which some people have found so scary to do. A lot questions have been put on the table for me on here and to some other broiler birds farmers outside here.

The 4 Weeks to 5 weeks of Broiler birds.

I have observed so find this period to be a transition period for he broiler birds, which determines a lot of things. The transition determines the outcome of the birds in the next 4 weeks. The first 4 weeks speak in the life span of these birds. The first 4 week will determine what the next 4 weeks of the birds would be after the first 4 weeks.

Signs to observe.

  • How you feed them will most likely determines their weight and growth. Birds that are fed well in the first 4 weeks will surely have excess weight. Meanwhile, hardly you will find a weighty and muscles birds getting sick or attack by diseases, gems or viruses.

  • How hygienic you have been with the birds. If you don't show maximum cleanness with these birds in the first 4 weeks, there is probability that they will spend the rest of their lives on medication. Because their hygienically they are not well taking care of.
