In today's selfie and social media culture, it seems like everything is about our appearance, how we look rather who we are and how we feel. And these growing things have a direct link with our self-esteem. We have to continuously prove ourselves that we are good looking, we have a fit body, a perfect life. But as that's not always true we are making ourselves emotionally vulnerable. We are the one who is responsible to low down our self-esteem.

Do you have someone close who is facing this struggle, I mean who is fighting to manage his/her level of self-esteem because of the social pressure, social media influence and something link this? I think we all have a little bit of responsibility to make these things better. We should create a better culture and self-help to encounter these issues. So, how we can increase our self-esteem and also help others to achieve that?

The first thing is we need to focus on self-care rather than what others want to look at us. Practicing mindfulness can help a lot. Focus on what you are, work on self-development not on how you look. Physical as well as mental care is very helpful to take care of thyself.

Focus on what we can. Remind yourself that you are full of potentiality. The amount you can use to change your look can be used in changing your level of productivity.

Try to change the social context from your level best. It's not possible to change the way people think and their mentality. But, we surely can start with us. Also, we can make friends who shared a similar mentality and gives us positive vibes.

We don't have to follow any steps or rules if we don't feel that comfortable. But finding a way to not lose self-esteem is the challenge. And, I think we can build that up in ourselves. Just we need to realize how we are and our surroundings harming us and reducing our esteem. Improving is always appreciable but loving our body and accepting us as the way it is the best thing to gift thyself.
