Description from Strava:
We are in Wales with a load of family for a long weekend staying on a farm. It is very quiet here, but it's good to get away. Yesterday rained a lot, but we still went to the beach. I paddled and a few people swam.
Yesterday evening it brightened up and a rainbow appeared as we went for a walk. On the farm is a prehistoric burial structure. There is also the remains of a village from Roman times.
I wanted to get a run in, so headed out before breakfast. Strava had some possible routes that started from the farm. The first part was along a narrow lane, but there is not much traffic. I was by a bigger road for a while then turned onto a lane that took me to a little bay. It looked like a dead end, bit a found a sign for the Welsh coast path. I was trying to follow that, but lost it a few times.
There was a real mix of surfaces with grass, sand, gravel sand tarmac. There were steep parts with stone steps. I took it carefully as it would be easy to trip.
I passed a few people who were out walking and a couple of ladies who were running. It ended up a bit further than I had planned. The climb at the end was tough and I walked a bit, but ran the last part.
It was a nice outing and I like to explore new places. It makes a change to be by the sea.
Run free.
