Description from Strava:
I was out for a work Christmas meal yesterday, but I was not drinking too much and did not get home late. The meal was near Farringdon station and I noticed that there was a music shop nearby, so I popped in there first. Unfortunately that one is closing down soon. I did not buy anything anyway. The meal was nice. I did stay up fairly late watching the Musora music school live Christmas show when various prizes were on offer. They are in Canada, so it was late for us in the UK and I did not see the end.

I was up in time for parkrun today. The weather was not looking too bad. Relatively warm and not raining. I just went with shorts and t-shirt plus my trail shoes. With recent weather I knew it would be muddy and I was right. The course was quite slippery and so some care was needed. That means slowing down a little, but with my current aches that is fine with me.

I took it steadily and got to see the fast people zooming off. An older guy overtook me after a lap and then I passed a young lady a little later, but I was mostly running alone. On the last lap I gave an extra push and got my best time in a the last couple of months. Considering the conditions and the state of my body I am happy with that.

The painting is on a pillar of the big bridge over the railway. It has been there for a while. It looks a bit like a Banksy, but the artist is Banga, whoever that may be.

I jogged most of the way home. I have some chores to do this weekend, including making a base for our solar battery. That will involve mixing some concrete.

Have a great weekend and run free.
