Panda trail, part 1 [Exhaust Running Community Report, November 8th 2020]

Sunday, November 8th, 2020. 7 am. I wanted to get on an early run to do the most important stuff first thing and then have a quiet and leisurely Sunday.

The run was also the start of Panda Trail by UTMB Running Challenge. The plan was to go to the top of Rašica hill and gather some climbs on the way up. It was a success!

It was also a foggy and humid morning with 5 degrees. The world looked gray. Here is the view of the Magpie's Valley where it first opens up.

Immediately after this photo was taken I turned right and up the hill and reached this beautiful trail.

While I was approaching the village of Rašica the family of horses greeted me. We know each other since in the summer they grazed down in the valley.

Hello, my friend. Do you want a scratch?

In the village, I took the road around to make the run slightly longer. It's called Partizanska pot or The Partisan Way.

Above the village, I caught the first glimpse of the sun.

On the top of the Rašica tower and in the sun. Hills and mountains are peeking out of the fog. Amazing.

My Coros watch tells you that I climber 400 meters so far. Good!

Let's look around.

Down there somewhere lies the city of Ljubljana.

Šmarna gora.

Julian Alps mountain range with Mt. Triglav in the center.

While on the way back I met a group of ponies.

Panda bar. How appropriate for the first run of the Panda Trail challenge. Yes, there really is the panda bar when the road to the Magpie's Valley leaves the village of Črnuče.

Running power and altitude graphs. Dips are where I took photos. The altitude graph is nice too.

The map of the run.
