It was the day of the traditional annual Rašica march today. With this hike from the village of Črnuče up to the village of Rašica we pay respect and remember the partisans who fought for the freedom in the WW2.
The start of the hike is at the elementary school with on egroup taking a direct route while the other starts earlier and takes a longer route. In the end we all gather together at the Špan inn in Rašica.
My plan today was to take a run and be up there for the end of the hike.I started before eight and went up the right ridge of the hill on the trail which passes the Cene Štupar monument.
Then I continued to Dobeno and finally reach the top of Rašica hill.

From th t op I continued towards north on the paths that were new to me.
Some beautiful and solitary trails which I intend to revisit soon.
I took the path around the hill and descended into the Magpie's valley. The hikers on the march were going up at that time and I went to meet them.
The rest of my family was with the main group. When we met I turned around and went back up with them, the hiking pace.
At 11:30 am we were at th efinish of th emarch. All happy to be there, everybody was in a good mood on a sunny and warm Saturday.
