The minimum holding necessary to receive all benefits, both votes and income distribution, will increase from 1 to 10 MPATH on Sunday 6 December, 2020.
This is due to a number of reasons, but the main one is that votes generated for members with less than 10 MPATH are really quite low now. Not only is the vote itself verging on dust but the curation received is often zero. This means we are using VP for no benefit to either such members or the fund as a whole.
Also, MPATH was created with a token distribution to MAXUV members and this new minimum of 10 tokens brings it in line with the same change taking place on MAXUV. The MPATH programme is doing well, with solid income and decent growth, so with 10 MPATH currently worth about $1 I don't think this new minimum is any barrier to entry for new members.
MPATH members currently holding less than 10 tokens have a simple option to top-up their holding with some extra tokens, or to sell their current stake on the market.
Two more distributions will be made to all members, and the new minimum will apply from then onwards. Both votes and future distributions will stop for any members below 10 MPATH after the weekend payout on the 5th/6th December.
