MY NYSC EXPERIENCE

It was just one beautiful early morning I saw my slip, and I was posted to Enugu State for my NYSC (National Youth Service Corp). I was so excited because I was not going alone I had my cousin victor, my friends in school Eric and Favuor and the coolest thing was that we all stayed in the same lodge back then in school. So much to look up to, getting ready to move to Enugu State. Packed my bag and I left for the 3 weeks camping with my cousin, reaching there it was new to me because I haven't been there b4, but I was happy to be there.

Getting there I saw many people different face and personality I was excited that I was going to meet new people I was given my hostel, my platoon, and my Kali and my boot. My platoon was 7 and there I met Aniefiok, my friend and my roommate for the rest of that year. I joined the band group because I love music, same with Ani. It was a wonderful 3weeks with so much fun, making new friends Oge,, Wunmi, Jay, Precious, Onyin, Danjuma, and Celeb like they many oh 😂😂 I miss all of them, though. The 3 weeks were full of different activities games, night out, party, parade, and lectures.

Enugu State is located in southeastern Nigeria (Igbo tribe) and from November – February it is cold and windy during the harmattan season I Love the weather sometimes in the morning I just don't want to wake up, but the army men will not let me ah I had to wake up go for the parade and get ready for the activities for the day.

After 3 weeks in camp, coming out to teach math in Command Day Secondary, Enugu. I learned how to communicate with people and my students, and also how to deal with them. So during the day, I am a teacher and during the night I am a media manager at Lift Club Enugu. Also being a photographer like, I was just busy learning things. My service year taught me a lot about communication, discipline, habits, charisma, etc. I did some professional courses on HR, Safety, and Communication. Every last Sunday of the month is our open mic where you come and show your talent, music, spoken word, dance, and poems...... I love singing...... Serving with the army was fun like a lot of fun when it is time to be serious they won't look at your face but once it is time to have fun they are down to any level. I love the attitude and discipline.

It wasn't easy at a point merging all activity together, and occasionally, I felt some kind of way depressed, but I had good friends around always giving good vibe oh yea seyi, like!! this nigga was always cracking me up with some dry joke damn but las las the nigga is good. His funny, smart and has a sweet personality. I am so happy right now that yes we are not where we want to be, but we all are so much better than before in all areas of our lives. ANI is working with Ibom Air, Eric is in UK, seyi and favour are in Lagos killing it big time, and I am also doing good too like God has been so good to us and I believe this is just the start of our lives. I can't say all, but we all had great moment together as friends and family. Trust me I met good people and Enugu was good to me as well. I have a lot of pictures to show you.

Cheers!!!!! 🙌
