The statue is of famous personality whom I admire the most and is a great fan of. He is no one more than the conqueror of modern Nepal: King Prithvi Narayan Shah. He was the one who annexed the weak and divided states of various kingdom from east to west along with the Malla Kingdom to form greater Nepal. He was so fierce with his sword and very brave and a wise king. He was born in Gorkha, a small state. He then move on to make it a strong state by annexing other kingdom to his one.

There are lot of statues built all over the Nepal to pay a homage and respect for him. This statue is built in hilltop of Dhulikhel, Kavre, Nepal. He was born on January 11, 1723 and died on January 15, 1775 on his birthday according to Nepali date. There are two speculations around his health. One is that his health deteriorated and was ill at his palace. Other is that he got seriously injured in tiger attack while going out for hunting. He never gave up while suffering a heavy loss during the war. He always succeeded at the next attempt. The principal equipment for the war during that time was sword. Just after his death Nepal expanded its border to present day North India and Tibet. But later suffered a heavy loss and have to bear a significant loss due to the treaty as German had to bear after first world war and second world war.
