Usually, if a drawing takes me less than fifteen hours to complete, I tend to dislike it. This was a nice exception, it was completed in a single four hour sitting. Not too much planning went into it, I simply had the idea to combine a few inspirations and sort of just went for it. Usually, that doesn't work out too well for me!
The pencil sketch was very basic, just a rough doodle.
My main inspirations were the old Hellsing anime and the voodoo deity, Baron Samedi. This entire drawing was very chill, with me playing around with the concept without worrying too much about accuracy. These drawings are always the most fun!
I didn't take many process photos, because I expected this drawing to be awful!
