En mi recorrido por la ciudad de El Tigre, les quise mencionar en esta oportunidad sus numerosas entradas, pero destaqué en fotos las que me conectan con ésta desde la ciudad donde vivo, San José de Guanipa.

El Tigre tiene una arteria vial muy importante, ya que es la ciudad que conecta a la Región Guayana con el resto del país, en su entrada por la carretera de Barcelona – Anaco. Quienes van hacia Ciudad Bolívar, y vienen de Caracas, deben pasar por el centro de El Tigre, exactamente por las avenidas España, y Rotaria.

Las entradas que conozco son: La que conecta con Pariaguán y viene de la región llanera, la que conecta con Barcelona y viene de la capital del país, las dos que conectan con San José de Guanipa y vienen de Monagas y el resto de la región oriental, y las que conducen a los pueblitos orientales y caseríos a través de la vía del Cementerio General.

Pero hay innumerables atajos por los campos petroleros que de éstos conozco unos pocos porque mi ex esposo en mi época de estudiante, cuando me llevaba a la universidad desde San Tomé – Pdvsa, cortaba camino a través de estas vías que él se conocía muy bien.

También hay una entrada por una avenida lateral a la avenida principal de Guanipa, que conduce directo al famoso cruce de La Guarapera, que tiene 4 vías; una que va directo a Ciudad Bolívar, una hacia la carretera del tecnológico de El Tigre, otra hacia varios caseríos, y la que viene de Guanipa.

Pero las más inmediatas a mi zona residencial, son la Av. Intercomunal Tigre – Tigrito (Guanipa), y la Av. Jesús Subero. Ambas parten desde el famoso semáforo de Placa Centro, cuyo nombre se debe a una industria de maderas que estaba en esa esquina, ahora se llama Tico.

La Av. Intercomunal inicia en Farmatodo, y la Av. Jesús Subero, inicia en el Centro Comercial Olivieri.

Si queremos ir al centro de El Tigre, al casco viejo, las tiendas, la zona comercial, y el mercado general, es más rápido a través de la Av. Jesús Subero, y por esa arteria nos vamos a encontrar con sitios puntuales como Ferretería Celma que es una de las más antiguas de la ciudad, el Gimnasio Complex, el famoso Paseo de la Virgen del Valle, la clínica Day Hospital donde se realizó recientemente la jornada de pesquisa de cáncer de mama, el San Remo Mall, el Unimall, el Centro Comercial Morichal y su urbanización, varias urbanizaciones, oficinas de PDVSA, el Seguro Social y la desembocadura de la Av. Winston Churchill que es una de las más concurridas en la actualidad.

Pero si queremos ir a la zona de Pueblo Nuevo, la avenida principal de El Tigre (Francisco de Miranda), y Av. Peñalver, es más rápido y directo irse por la intercomunal.

Por esa arteria nos vamos a encontrar varios centros comerciales como El Roble donde está el súper mercado Más x menos, Los Pinos del que hablé en mi primer post de “Recorriendo El Tigre”, VIP, Las Virtudes, está el Hotel Eurobuilding, Mc Donald’s, Ciudad Rahme que es un conjunto residencial que tiene centro comercial, urbanización, colegio, y club, también encontramos el Palacio de Justicia, el Complejo Manisero hoy en día Monumento La Bandera, y muchas empresas hasta llegar al Gran Hotel de El Tigre.

Como pueden ver, estas dos ciudades se comunican por dos largas avenidas que en la actualidad se superpoblaron y sólo los de la vieja escuela, sabemos dónde termina una e inicia la otra, aunque ese tema sigue en debate municipal.

In my tour of the city of El Tigre, I wanted to mention in this opportunity its numerous entrances, but I highlighted in photos those that connect me with it from the city where I live, San José de Guanipa.

El Tigre has a very important road artery, since it is the city that connects the Guayana Region with the rest of the country, at its entrance on the Barcelona - Anaco highway. Those going to Ciudad Bolivar and coming from Caracas must pass through the center of El Tigre, exactly along España and Rotaria Avenues.

The entrances I know of are: The one that connects with Pariaguán and comes from the plains region, the one that connects with Barcelona and comes from the capital of the country, the two that connect with San José de Guanipa and come from Monagas and the rest of the eastern region, and the ones that lead to the small eastern towns and hamlets through the road to the General Cemetery.

But there are innumerable shortcuts through the oil fields, of which I know a few because my ex-husband in my student days, when he used to take me to the university from San Tomé - Pdvsa, used to cut through these roads that he knew very well.

There is also an entrance on a side avenue to the main avenue of Guanipa, which leads directly to the famous La Guarapera intersection, which has 4 roads; one that goes directly to Ciudad Bolivar, one to the technological road of El Tigre, another to several hamlets, and the one that comes from Guanipa.

But the most immediate to my residential area are the Intercomunal Tigre - Tigrito (Guanipa) Avenue and Jesus Subero Avenue. Both start at the famous Placa Centro traffic light, named after a lumber industry that used to be on that corner, now called Tico.

Intercomunal Avenue starts at Farmatodo, and Jesus Subero Avenue starts at Olivieri Shopping Center.

If we want to go to the center of El Tigre, to the old town, the stores, the commercial area and the general market, it is faster through Jesus Subero Av. Jesús Subero, and along this artery we will find specific places such as Ferretería Celma, one of the oldest in the city, the Complex Gymnasium, the famous Paseo de la Virgen del Valle, the Day Hospital clinic where the breast cancer screening day was recently held, the San Remo Mall, the Unimall, the Morichal Shopping Center and its urbanization, several housing developments, PDVSA offices, the Social Security and the mouth of Winston Churchill Avenue, which is one of the busiest at the present time.

But if we want to go to the area of Pueblo Nuevo, the main avenue of El Tigre (Francisco de Miranda), and Peñalver Avenue, it is faster and more direct to take the intercomunal.

Along this artery we will find several shopping centers such as El Roble where the super market Más x Menos is located, Los Pinos which I talked about in my first post of “Touring El Tigre”, VIP, Las Virtudes, the Eurobuilding Hotel, Mc Donald's, Ciudad Rahme which is a residential complex that has a shopping center, housing development, school, and club, we also find the Palace of Justice, the Manisero Complex, today La Bandera Monument, and many companies until we reach the Grand Hotel of El Tigre.

As you can see, these two cities are connected by two long avenues that are now overpopulated and only those of us from the old school know where one ends and the other begins, although this subject is still under municipal debate.
