You know how it feels to have invented something and have your name entered into the Book of Records? That's how I feel whenever I remember that there's a special phrase attached to my name, which although hasn't entered any book of records but has settled in the hearts of many, and anytime they hear such phrase, no other person than Kingsley appears on the scene.
During last year's Christmas when I traveled home, I met one of my female friends that we talk often online, *"Hi Lifted, how are you doing?" *
"Once you're fine, I'm f...." She burst into laughter as she tried to finish the words, and we laughed together.
"Once you're fine, I'm fine."
This has been my all-time phrase. I use it to reply to someone asking how I'm fairing, and each time I do that, it sends a volume of love to the person asking, be it a lady or a guy. If the person is soft though, because there are people that such words don't work on🙄.
There was a day I had a chat with a friend, and when I replied with the phrase, she paused, gave me a love emoji😍🥰, and said, "If I see any other person using this phrase, I will fine him or her $1,000,000 for doing that."
These words blew my mind, and I couldn't contain the feeling. It's a clear fact that this phrase originated with me, and anyone using it without providing a reference should be jailed for plagiarism Lol😂
The phrase looks so simple, and you could see it as meaningless when being used often, but no, its magic works always.
How I came about this phrase
It was the year 2019 when I was transferred to a faraway land, and I had different kinds of people under me. It was a big privilege because I had people share their problems with me in exchange for prayers and words of encouragement.
There was a lady among them, in her early 20s. She cries at any slight problem; she's so fragile, are eyes are always loaded with tears, looking for means to explode.
If she starts, the only thing that could remedy the situation is someone being around and offering words of encouragement and I was always there for her.
After she has returned to her senses, she will walk up to me to apologize for the inconveniences and thank me for being there for her. I saw how pitiful she could be whenever she's disturbed (hurt), and I felt like relieving her of that crying nature or preventing her from anything that would make her cry.
So anytime we see each other and she asks how I'm fairing, I always tell her, "Once you're fine, I'm fine," and she'll say, "Awwwnn," with a smiling face coupled with shyness 🥰.
