Hello everyone
My siblings and I were enjoying a program when our dad stepped into the living room. Without him saying a word, we knew our time was almost up. He waited until we were done with what we were watching. As soon as the program was over, our dad requested the TV remote. As he got it, my siblings marched out of the living room to their rooms to fiddle with their phones. I remained in the living room with my dad, watching him navigate through the channels. Finally, he clicked on the Discovery Family channel, which he so much loved. It was like I knew he'd click on the Discovery Family channel, so I waited.
As an adventurous person, I loved filling my head with knowledge because you never know when you'll need it. As at the time he clicked on the channel, it was already past 7 pm, and the Battle Bot show had already started. That was one program I never loved missing. The chaos, the creativity, and even the designs were what made me attracted to the program. It's funny how most of the time I always know the winner before the battle ends, and the part where the judges decide the winner is also another interesting part of the program.
But that's not why my dad always tunes in to Discovery Family by that time. Immediately after the Battle Bot program is the program "How the Universe Works." As a geographer, he always wanted to keep himself updated so that he wouldn't be living in darkness. So, after the commentary and advertisement from other channels, the program began.
That very day, in the program, the discussion was about how scientists had made groundbreaking discoveries on Mars as a result of sending their satellite over there and how there might be a possibility of life forms being found. The living room was so quiet because nobody wanted to miss anything that was said. With evidential backup to convince us, we believed it.
Watching this program that very day reminded my dad of the days when people struggled to get across to each other from far distances. How man was stuck to his confinement, but since man's innate nature was never to be bound, he had to devise a means of leaving his locality to explore other parts of the earth. This was what triggered Christopher Columbus to embark on his journey, he added.
So, eventually, carriers and transportation mediums like boats and bicycles were made available before trains, vehicles, and high-flying airplanes were made available. This made movement and communication a whole lot easier for man. "To think it was enough and a great achievement on man's part," he said. "Man still felt that they were still limited and that there was something beyond this sphere.

Pushed by his desire to know, man started building, and with background knowledge of airplanes, they had a head start. The desire to explore outside Earth's atmosphere and gravitational pull sounded almost impossible to achieve; it was like saying "when pigs fly," he said. But despite these hindrances, the once-time space exploration that sounded almost impossible to achieve was made possible thanks to great visionaries, he said with a smile on his face. "Indeed, a remarkable achievement," he added.
Initially, space exploration faced numerous challenges, such as overcoming Earth's gravity, developing materials thabt could withstand harsh and extreme temperatures and exposures. But pioneers like Konstantin and Robert were able to contribute significantly to space exploration techniques. Although his discussion had gone beyond the commercial break, it was worth it.
