Brenda was set to go to the market after she has finished her home chores including the clothes she refused to wash since three weeks. Finally, she was done with everything and went to the market. If Brenda boards a bus, it will only take three minutes to get to the market but this time, she wanted to exercise her leg do she trekked to the market.
It took her fifteen minutes before she could get to the market.
When Brenda got to the market, she bought crushed chillies, palm oil, food seasoning, salt, onions and beans. Brenda has always wanted to try an African dish called Ewa Agoyin.
Her legs were aching so bad and she could not trek back to her house so she boarded a bus back to the house. It was getting late and she wanted to make the Ewa Agoyin so she can post it on her food vlog and also have it for dinner.
Firstly, Brenda poured palm oil into a hot pot and the whole house was looking smoky. Brenda was coughing so hard all in the name of wanting to make Ewa Agoyin.
Brenda’s neighbor, Maria detected the smoke coming from Brenda’s apartment. Immediately, Maria went to Brenda’s door, knocked on the door for some minutes before Brenda went to open the door.
I sensed that the smoke is coming from your apartment so I came to check if everything is well with you, Maria said.
Thanks so much, neighbor. Everything is well with me. It’s just that I’m learning how to make Ewa Agoyin for the first time and I’m actually watching a YouTube video that can help me learn better, Brenda said back to her neighbor.
You should have told me instead or even asked if I knew how to make it, Maria said.
I didn’t know you could make it and I also don’t know if you’d be chanced to teach me. That’s why I didn’t even bother to ask you in the first place, Brenda responded.
Brenda asked Maria to come in and they went straight to the kitchen where Maria taught Brenda the whole process. At some point, Brenda felt there was no need to keep watching the YouTube video since there is someone right beside her teaching her how to make the food.
Maria abandoned all what she was doing at home to teach Brenda how to make this food.
After pouring the palm oil inside the hot pot, Maria poured the pepper inside the pot. This even caused more smoke and the two of the started to cough that they off the gas fire for a short time, went to the living room and got back to the kitchen after the smoke had reduced.
Maria, is this really how those chefs make this dish? I thought it was going to be a simple process, Brenda said while Maria bursts out into laughter.

They resumed the cooking process by adding the seasonings and every other necessary things inside the pepper sauce and smashed the Beans as well. The pepper sauce and beans makes Ewa Agoyin. Even before they finished cooking the food, the two of them were already having runny noses.
It took them one hour and thirty minutes before they could get the food done and Brenda served the food inside a white plate.
She brought out her ring light and led light and made videos of the food. She also edited the cooking process and joined those videos and pictures together and did all of that with the help of Maria.
This took an extra thirty minutes and that was fast because of Maria’s help.
By the time they finished cooking and editing the videos, the two ladies were tired. They sat at the living room with a full bowl of Ewa Agoyin right in front of them but they couldn’t even eat because they were too tired.
Maria, I think you’re right when you said there is no rose without thorns because I’m so tired and we stressed too much before achieving this, Brenda said.
Brenda and Maria ate the food in the same bowl and they slept off in Brenda’s living room. By the time they woke up, it was next morning and Maria rushed to her apartment to get ready for work while Brenda did the same.
