First time here and it already feels like home with some great concepts to choose from the list. I'll talk on the concept
Would you rather find true and lasting love or take $200,000 USD in cash?
I'll try to explain my points in the best way possible. These are my concepts about life and what I think about true love and money.
I'll start by saying I'll choose true and lasting love over $200,000. There are certain things wealth cannot buy and those things are what bring true peace in a man's life. The reason why we hustle hard for wealth is not only for the possessions we hope to acquire but that we might gain love and respect from others. If I have true and lasting love then 85% of my problem would be solved, I'll be rest assured to get whatever I seek from such a person or people.
Love and belonging comes third on the Abraham Maslow hierarchy of need. It stands between the basic need and the need to achieve self actualization. Self actualization entails to become the most one wants to be and that's where the desire for riches, unlimited desire for wealth, and achieving purpose falls in. It's actually a displaced priority to pursue wealth when you lack people who sincerely love you. $200,000 seems tempting but the fact that one has skipped the other chains in the hierarchy makes it difficult to bring one the peace or joy he desires.
If I have, for example, 100 people who sincerely love me, I can ask them to give me $1000 each. Then open a store and ask them to buy goods worth $500 each from me. I've made almost that amount with just true love. With this point I'm trying to say, If I have true love, my basic needs wouldn't be a problem anymore and I do live knowing I have someone or people I can fall back to when the storm of life starts to wail.
With true and lasting love, I'll know I'm surrounded by someone who even in my old age would still honor me as a friend or husband and there's no fulfillment that comes knowing you're loved all the days of your life and most especially in the days when you're frail and your hair has turn white like the almond tree in bloom, days when you drag along without energy.
We all desire to be loved. Sometimes our constant pursuit for wealth still falls back to being loved. So I'll gladly choose true and lasting love over $200,000 that might only offer me temporary joy. The greatest thing a man can have in this world full of hate and uproars is true love. True love can sacrifice, true love can bring our way people and the greatest thing to possess is not wealth, it's people, and that's why love truly matters.
