It was a perfect weekend to explore on a mountain with a forest grove to embrace the tranquilizing heart of nature at the Stone House Station in my hometown at Dahilayan- Kalugmanan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
Dahilayan, popularly known for its amazing forest park and mesmerizing view has another diversion spot for outdoor fun, outside activities, while enjoying the taste of goodness with its soothing ambiance, quality foods, drinks, and products.
Stone House Station is a perfect place for a weekend escapade.
Before the recent typhoon made landfall on the affected areas in the Philippines, it brought catastrophic landslides, storm surges, violent winds, and heavy rainfalls. Although we are far from the eye of the storm, it had also brought turbulent winds and very heavy rainfalls for several days in my place.
But when I looked at the weather forecast earlier, I had observed that only five percent chance that it will rain. Since the weather was fair, we decided to unwind and explore the heart of a beautiful place.
From my home to Dahilayan-Kalugmanan road is just an hour travel. An unplanned escapade led us to explore a new spot I have not been before. So without doubts, we traveled going to Dahilayan, until such time that we arrived near the place with a slope of rough road.
We followed the path and the road was bumpy. So it is not really advisable to go there when it is raining for there might be chances that tires would be stuck on mud and other problems. No one wants to be stuck in the middle of the mountain, so safety must be observed first.
Despite the road, we traveled going up and turned left. A few distance away from the toad is the location of the Stone House Station.
As soon as we have arrived in our destination, I tool a lot of shots all around the place.
At the entrance , a halloween display welcomed with a logbook for all visitors but there was no entrance fee and it was really all free to visit and explore the place.
I enjoyed the weather and I am really excited to see what are found inside.
All of a sudden, I saw a relaxing swing and had a taste of goodness while being swayed by the wind.
While I am on the swing, I captured my own footwear with my grayish tights.
I could hear the sweet mellow sound of silence as I look at a magical view along with the clouds and every blanket of green in the middle of the mountain.
After I was swayed by the swing, I explored and discovered different stations at the Stone House while following a path of stone.
As I walked, I passed by a strong horned goat tied at a bamboo-made craft.
And beside it is a beautiful garden of rare flowers with a blend of purple and white appearance.
There were many things to enjoy there and the direction guided me to the right path.
Stone House Station is a cozy place with a great touch of nature along with the luxurious stores such as the Country Store, Pizza Shack, Yamanaka Ramen, Soophoria, and Lamp Lighter Cafe.
The Country Store is located near the entrance and it is a perfect place for a short-stop grocery for all time favorite gourmet, snacks, wines, and delicacies.
The Pizza Shack is located in between the Country Store and the Yamanaka Ramen with its very delicious pizza in Dahilayan.
Lamplighter Cafe is a lavish place to celebrate life with the freshly roasted coffee, gourmet food, and hand crafted drinks.
Soophoria is a perfect coffee shop by the forest with its enticing Korean cuisine fusion, foreign products, and Filipino foods.
After I have seen the sign, “Come in, we’re open”, I really entered the place even if I was not able to order any for my mind changed to go to the other store.
I explored the place and took a lot of capture. And then I took a selfie at its cozy interior. Its ambiance was really so refreshing with my big smiles.
I had tasted a Japanese ambiance in the middle of the mountain.
Meanwhile, we decided to go for Ramen. Among the five stores at the Stone House Station, we had chosen to taste the goodness at the Yamanaka Ramen.
Yamanaka Ramen is owned by a Japanese with its authentic delectable cuisine which deserved for a five star. Its ambiance was really so cool which seemed like I had tasted a Japanese ambiance in the middle of the mountain.
Upon arriving at the main entrance, I had read the signs and reminders as follows.
Since we need to remove footwear, I left my shoes outside, and entered a very classic Japanese setting.
When the Menu was given, we ordered the sellable ramen known as the Tantan Men.
And then the all time Japanese favorite, which is the Miso Ramen. Additional orders were California Maki, Sashimi, and Lemon Juice.
Tantan Ramen was very tasty. I so love its spicy taste.
Miso soup was very yummy. I love the perfect blend of ingredients.
California Maki and Sashimi are my ever favorites since then and I was really full after eating 4 pieces combined with Ramen.
And then the Lemon juice was served. There was no soda drinks, all options for drinks were healthy drinks such as teas, fresh juices, and drinks.
While waiting for the orders, I took a lot of captures of a wonderful place with a traditional Nihon Kenchiku setting.
Perhaps I really had a great dining weekend experience on a traditional Nihon Kenchiku setting.
And every travel is not complete without a selfie at my favorite spot.
On the whole, I was able to taste quality and premium food, drinks with a blend of extraordinary place because of its soothing and refreshing view of nature. Indeed, I was very delighted.
Happy Weekend!
