Cafe Alicia: A Gem in Pamplona

Hello everyone!

One of the things I get to do during this one-month uninterrupted teacher's vacation is traveling especially on long weekends. I travel either for a round trip or manage to stay in a place for a couple of days. I have had countless round trips around Cebu North and Cebu South. I must say these trips were random and spontaneous.

One of my comfort islands to travel to is Negros, whether Oriental or Occidental. The island is not just accessible. It offers great food, views, and places that truly warm one's heart. When I first stepped on the beautiful island of Negros, I delved into the tourist spots like the **Sulfur Vent Mountain in Valencia, San Sebastian Cathedral and The Ruins in Bacolod, and many more. I have traveled from Dumaguete to Bacolod traversing the mountainous areas of Occidental and preferred exploring the coastal roads of Oriental when returning from Bacolod to Dumaguete. I think it's quite better to see a map since my thoughts here are vague. Ever since, I haven't mingled well with location and geography. Hehehe. To make this short, I have journeyed almost all of the towns of Negros during my first visit.

This trip that I am about to share focuses on one of my favorite destinations in Oriental - Cafe Alicia. It is a cafe located at San Isidro, Pamplona, Negros Oriental.

When we reached the place, what caught first my attention was its color - pretty pink. We were welcomed by the in-charge asking for the entrance fee which is Php100 per head. Its wall is made of a container van which looks great and perfect for the location.

The fence is made of shiny stones put in a five-foot box of steel. It looks beautiful, sturdy and aesthetic. The area has a playground for kids and a hanging bridge for adults too. They also have animal statues placed around the area for kids and kids at heart to enjoy.(scroll down for photos)

My companion ordered a coffee while I was roaming around. I guess, he cannot live a well deserved life without coffee. (Sanaol, coffee!😂)

Meanwhile, I took a photo of the colorful stairs where LOVE decorations are situated. The artificial flowers look fresh. This area serves as a photo booth for tourists like me.

Afterward, I went to the area where the words "Beat the Heat" are found. As you can see, the area is full of colors that give a certain kind of vibe that's contagious. It also made me feel light and refreshed. More than the decorations, what made me fall in love with the place was its location itself. It is nestled at the hilltop mountains of Pamplona where the wind is strong and the view of the lowland areas is spectacular.

I was still in awe with how effortlessly beautiful the view was to the point that I forgot about the ordered coffee. I went inside and still I wasn't over yet with how the surroundings look like. That's why the only photos I have taken inside were these two - the wooden tables and chairs.

Cafe Alicia is something I would want to visit again. It doesn't only serve us coffee and amazing views. It gives us a full scenery of nature. More than that, it also has a structure that is perfectly made for those who seek peace of mind, tranquility, and a whole lot of new and unique experiences.

A beautiful chapel also resides in the heart of Cafe Alicia.
