Although it seems like an easy idea, I have to confess that I had a hard time choosing just one item with great utility from my bag.

Sanitary napkins, hand cream, antibacterial gel, wet wipes, drinking water, cotton towel, mirror, hair bands and hair ties, headache pills and countless other things are present in my bag, wherever I go.

For this week I will tell you about the wet wipes we buy in drugstores, supermarkets and perfumeries. These towels that were originally created with the purpose of helping with baby grooming, have become an item with a versatile use and here I am to narrate a little bit my way of using them.

The first thing I will tell you is that I buy them in their two presentations, large package of 72 towels for when I go on a trip or at least spend one night away from home. And the second presentation of 30 towels for daily outings and small wallets. I buy a maximum of two packs at a time, so I don't run the risk of them losing moisture.

I love wet wipes, nowadays I can't live without them, the main use I give them is to clean my hands. When I am on the street and I don't have the option of soap and water, I choose to take out a towel to comply with the necessary hygiene, either after shopping at the supermarket, touching different objects, before eating a food, even after having contact with some part of the vehicle and I have left dirt on my hands.

My husband has gotten used to having wet towels in my purse and when he checks the engine oil or coolant, for example, he waits for me to give him one or two towels to wipe his hands before touching the steering wheel.

Another use is to clean my face. I am a woman who wears little makeup and need to feel my face clean and free of grease. That's when wet wipes help me feel fresh and clean outside the house.

Toilet paper substitute, yes, just like you read it. There are times when I prefer to use these wet wipes instead of toilet paper. It's nice and subtle. Also, for several years now, thanks to the shortages in my country, public restrooms have stopped providing toilet paper and it is up to us, the users, to assume that responsibility. Fortunately the situation has improved. It will also depend on where you are.

Quick cleaning of the vehicle or any object that requires it. These towels help clean the steering wheel, dashboard, glass and other parts of the vehicle, even the upholstery, if a drink or food is spilled.

In conclusion, wet wipes take the credit as my most valuable item in my bag.
