In the sixties, the world wasn't as sophisticated in technology as it is today. It was a year in which Nigeria got her independence and the major occupation of her citizens were farming and hunting. If I could be teleported back to the olden days, I do prefer the 1960s , a year in which we had gained freedom and were starting as a country. It's unfortunate that I'll miss the benefits of information technology in this era but it wouldn't also matter if every other system worked as before. In the sixties, we had no telephones nor did we have a transport system or the luxuries of the internet and communication, but there also was no anxiety caused by the innovations of machines for war or the dictatorship and tribal segregation that has eaten up the country now. I learned people lived at peace and there were people who truly had the country at heart.

My grandma would always tell us stories on how life was easier when they relied on farming and hunting. No cars but they had energy to walk days to pay a visit to relatives, means of communication then was through written letters but there were more sincere and honest individuals than this era. Teleporting back to the sixties would help me learn on what was the country built, the cankerworms that ate up the labor of our heroes past and to appreciate our growth - if there's any. The sixties would give me access to the foundation of our nation and see the thread of leadership that had evolved over time.

It's not wise to say the sixties was better than this era or the seventies, evolution had only improved human living and elevated the living condition of people over time but then this evolution gradually washed away our culture and traditions. I'll love to experience those beautiful traditions and cultures that were practiced in the old or experienced. Living in the sixties would take away the anxiety and competition of gathering wealth and living large. The people at that time lived simple, no worries about luxuries, and diseases that emerged in the latter years. The circle of life in the sixties was much easier and simple.
