I and my classmates are craving something, and that is an oyster. So, we find a place where we can eat some. Oysters are a common dish here in negros occidental because it is surrounded by the sea. Do you remember my last blog? Yes, the Palma Resort that we visit for our incoming party. It is the same place, it is just a walking distance from where we found a nice place to eat fresh oysters.

As you can see, they are displaying their freshly harvested oyster. There are a lot of eateries like this in that place, they sell oysters using those pots for measurement, and the price of a full pot of oysters is sixty (60) pesos. We ordered three pots of oysters, which is good for six people, we also ordered rice to complete the meal.

After measuring, they use this huge "kaldero" or a large metal pot and some coals to cook the oysters, I'm not familiar with their cooking technique but I think they just use water to steam the oysters.

While waiting for the oysters to cook, we decided to pay our bill to their cashier. This eatery is beautiful, they use wood for the whole structure, and most of it is bamboo which is very refreshing.

I remember the house of my grandparents here in the Philippines, their house design is very similar to this eatery, and I feel at home in every corner. It gives flashbacks of my childhood, haha.

They have plenty of plants inside the eatery that compliments the wooden structure

They obviously like this place, haha. See that bottle that my classmate holds? That's not beer, that is a kind of delicious vinegar. It is a vinegar that is fermented along with different kinds of spices like chili, ginger, garlic, onion, and many more. That vinegar is the perfect dip for oysters.

Suddenly, another classmate of ours arrived at the place, he is the one that lives in Punta Tay Tay. He treats us with coconuts that are sold outside the eatery, perfect for hot weather. Those coconuts are freshly harvested from there that's why the coconut juice is sweet.

We finally eat the oysters that we were craving, it didn't disappoint us because those are really delicious! Fresh from the sea and tastes like it. I was really happy that time, it was only my second time eating oysters and I think I am addicted to it. I am looking forward to our next visit to this place and that will be at our Christmas party. My classmate's uncle told us that he will be giving us some oysters on the day of our party so I'm really excited about it.

That's all for today, Hive! see you all on my next trip. Stay safe, be healthy and have a great day.
