πŸ˜„ The King of The Friend Zone πŸ˜„

What's up plebs!

Today I have another fresh addition to the stack. Once again it's a piece I got for spot price so it's nothing really impressive.

Quite the opposite actually as it features some sort of German retard or something lol

Let's take a look

That's one ugly fella. Reminds me a bit of @raymondspeaks tbh πŸ˜„πŸ˜‚

So, the text here informs us that this ugly motherfucker is Heinrich von Kleist. Apparently he is a popular German poet and shit..

He was a German poet, dramatist, novelist, short story writer and journalist. His best known works are the theatre plays The Prince of Homburg, Das KΓ€thchen von Heilbronn, The Broken Jug, Amphitryon and Penthesilea, and the novellas Michael Kohlhaas and The Marquise of O.

Kleist died by suicide together with a close female friend who was terminally ill.

The relationship between the two became intimate in the autumn of 1811. According to their contemporaries, there was no fire of passion but a purely spiritual love. source

Sounds like he took the friend zone to a whole new level. What a loser πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Other than his name, there is also the year of birth and death on this side.

Ok, let's move on and flip the coin:

As always is the case with German commemorative coins, we get a unique design of the imperial eagle. I really like this one :)

Other than that, it's pretty standard. Minting date (1977), denomination (5 marks) and in German the text "Federal Republic of Germany".

As the minting date indicates, this is a commemorative coin for the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Heinrich von Kleist.

A great thing with Germans is that they put some extra effort in their commemorative pieces and we always get some related text on the edge. Text on the edge is cool!

1000004765.jpg

This one reads

FRIEDEN IST DIE BEDINGUNG DOCH VON ALLEM GLÜCK

For

Peace is the Condition of All Luck

I did some googling, it doesn't seem like it's a direct quote or work from him so I guess it's related to the generic theme of his writings. Dunno. Maybe we have a fun here that can shed some light? Not that I care much πŸ˜„

Anyways...

When it comes to silver we have the usual recipe found in German 5 marks before the euro coin.

That is 11.2 g of 0.625 poo purity, giving us exactly 7 grams of pure silver.

Tldr, another boring piece for the stack. It was cheap though so no complaints!

Beggars can't be choosers after all πŸ˜„

Ok plebs, see you soon with more shiny stuff πŸ€‘
