How should content creation be rewarded to make it more fair for the authors and the Blockchain!
This is a hot topic to talk about and I believe many people have been thinking and having thoughts about it. Many have the questions about where the reward pool comes from and how they are distributed to give each user a fair share of what is deserved or so right!
Well, let's delve into what the real meaning of reward pool is, from where the reward should come from and can rewards come from other places other than from the reward pool? I will be explaining this based on how the Hive blockchain works.
What is a Reward Pool on the Hive blockchain
The reward pool on Hive blockchain is a particular amount of rewards that are allocated daily or weekly to authors and curators as well. This reward pool is distributed among curators and authors in the format of 50/50, this is to encourage both the author and curators for the work and value they are adding to the Blockchain.
This is just likened to the type of reward pool for the zealy campaign, the zealy reward pool is allocated to the initiators to reward participants in the campaign for the effort put into marketing the blockbuster. The effort put into the campaign by the participants is what they are rewarded for and the reward for them allocated to the initiator of the campaign is known as the reward pool.
We can relate this to the reward pool of the blockchain where authors are rewarded for their effort and value to the blockchain while at the same time curators(stakeholders) are also rewarded for their stakes and effort of finding and curating content, In my opinion. It might not be right but that's what I understand it to be.
The reward pool in my opinion comes from stakeholding by the users of the blockchain. When there are stakeholders, value will be created for Hive. This investment by the stakeholders can be used to generate money for the blockchain which in turn contributes to users' reward pool.
How should the content creation be rewarded to make it more fair to the authors and the blockchain?
Coming back to this, content creation can be rewarded through how valuable the content is or what value it brings to the blockchain. To be fair to the blockchain and how content creation should be rewarded, I would say that quality contents or contents with potentials that can bring value to the blockchain should be the one to be rewarded well. When this is not fair and the blockchain distributes more than the value content creation brings then there is probability for the system to crash.
The two should be balanced for everything to work out. That's just the law behind how it should all be.
