Weekly Savings Round-Up
Well, the boiler broke down this week and although it can be repaired, the general consensus of everyone, whether or not they had a stake in it, was that it was better to buy a new one. In other news, I bought the wrong train ticket and had to buy another and I forgot to pay for my parking until twelve hours later, so, one way and another, it's been an expensive week.

- EDS, EDS-VOTE, EDSD - Everything going well here, @eds-vote sitting at just under 320,000 HP, lots from Saturday Savers which is fabulous to see. We've also set up a curation trail for eds-vote which supports Savers so a nice circular economy. I'm buying EDSD with my earnings from my side-hustle and posting, and I've decided to track EDSD acquisitions each week. While HIVE is low, I'm moving HBD into EDSD, in addition to my regular purchases. (More about side-hustles).

What's New
Went for a coffee down in the nature reserve in the bay. The owner of the Salty Seal, a coffee bar in a container, has taken over the adjacent container which does food. They've both had a makeover, and there is a covered area outside, bordered with planters and part of it shaded with a sail.
The entertainment remains the same: Mark, the owner, holds court, conversing with everyone whatever he is doing, "Sorry, you'll have to wait, I'm doing something. Did you want hot or cold [drinks]? Cold? In the fridge, help yourself, pay me when I've done this ...." walking away and shouting over his shoulder, " ... and make sure you shut the chiller door properly. Dave, Dave [the dog], where are you?"
Back in his container, Mark brews coffee and perfect chocolate milk shakes, yelling from time to time, "Two lattes with syrup, can't remember which one is caramel! ... Chocolate milkshake! Don't run, that's glass!"
The covered area and planters have been set out for the regulars: wide gaps from the car park and the nature reserve so wheelchairs can get in and out, high and low tables and chairs, tethering points for dogs, like a town in the Old West. There's even water bowls and a dog menu on display outide the kitchen container.
You can sit there for a long hour, watching the sea and the birds in the estuary, enjoying the sunshine and the comings and goings.
