LeoGlossary: Setup (2011 Film)

How to get a Hive Account

alternatetext

The film Setup with Bruce Willis is a gritty action thriller about a betrayed man's quest for revenge. Sonny (50 Cent) and his two friends, Dave and Vincent, plan a heist to steal $5 million worth of diamonds. But when things go wrong and Vincent betrays them, Sonny is left for dead.

Miraculously surviving, Sonny seeks help from the most dangerous man in town, Biggs (Willis), to get his revenge and retrieve the stolen money. Biggs agrees to help, but only if Sonny does a job for him first: retrieve $2 million buried in a cemetery.

Sonny completes the task, but Biggs' henchman Petey accidentally shoots himself and Sonny is forced to flee. Now, Sonny is on the run from both Biggs and Vincent, who are both determined to kill him.

Sonny must use all of his skills and cunning to survive and get away with the money. He confronts Vincent and gets his revenge, but he also learns that Biggs is planning to double-cross him. In the end, Sonny must outsmart both men and escape with the money.

*Setup( is a fast-paced and exciting film with plenty of action and suspense. Willis gives a solid performance as the ruthless Biggs, and 50 Cent is believable as the vengeful Sonny. The film's plot is predictable at times, but it is still engaging and entertaining. Overall, Setup is a solid action thriller that is worth watching for fans of the genre.

In addition to the above, I would like to add that the film also explores themes of betrayal, redemption, and the lengths that people will go to for revenge. Sonny is a complex and sympathetic character, and the audience can't help but root for him as he tries to get revenge on the people who wronged him.
