Cyberbullying and dehumanization have increased recently, with Elon Musk's newfound Twitter promising millions at the of each month, and some of the things I see on Twitter are heartbreaking.
The system is so flawed that people will do anything to increase farm engagement. You see someone posting about their medical conditions, and one person responds with something degenerative. People freely post pornography and make toxic comments.
The Middle East War
The war in the middle East is creating online enemies who cannot shoot themselves from the comfort of their keypad, and Twitter is the haven
They incite religious wars and arguments, causing people of different races to fight one another, they post the dead bodies of war victims to encourage farm engagement.
It is as if a regular person subscribes once a month and starts posting unbelievable things to make money. People do not care about empathy or sensitivity, and they enjoy bringing others down.
Dark Humor Memes
I saw a post about an armless man who recently married, and people were making dark jokes about him and saying a variety of things. Some would argue that anyone can say whatever they want, but I sometimes get the impression that web2 applications are designed solely for profit, with no regard for whether they raise or build a mindless generation of people.
Sometimes Elon Musk posts things that cause outrage, and a lot of people jump on it, resulting in millions of impressions.
To business owners, people are primarily numbers. Many people believe that someone like him (Musk) cares about everyone, but nowadays, Twitter is designed to generate numbers and impressions out of thin air in order to increase revenue from advertisers and return some of that revenue to these guys who call themselves creators.
The reason Twitter is currently mindless is that sanity is not profitable; anything regular, orderly, and decorous does not generate much buzz.
On the flip side
I am not saying Twitter has nothing positive to offer; rather, I believe that the concept of monetization has made it very morbid. To be considered, you must have a blue tick, as this is the new design. It is a rat race in which anyone can do whatever it takes to get the bag because there is a fee involved and the option to unlock all monetization opportunities.
I have heard of a man who sold a company his Twitter account for $90k; it seems that Twitter suspended the user's account upon discovering the transaction. They are aware, of course, that anyone can register, develop, and sell an account if they permit this. Elon would suffer commercially from this, and others would profit more from similar endeavors.

In web2 you have to give 100% to earn 10% , and this is why people sometimes needs to give 1000% before they get 100% and this is why monetization schemes on a place like X is diabolical. People are always thinking of evil ways to engage in farming, and they usually do so at the expense of other people.
This is one of the I appreciate Hive. In the conventional web2, we are aware that a minority generates revenue, with the majority assisting the minority in reaching that total. Web 2 places a lot of emphasis on numbers, which is why it will stop at nothing to maximize its ability to take advantage of users' presence.
