More perks of being a shopper 🥕🛒

Less than a month ago I was celebrating my 100th Instacart order and the fact that I achieved Platinum Cart. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, the reference back to my previous blog.

I've been working like crazy this past month and I managed to hit Platinum Cart even quicker than I had originally expected. With that comes many new perks, some of which could potentially make my job even better than it already is.

Priority batch access is the thing that has me the most excited. It's yet to be seen whether or not I really do get to see the best orders before other shoppers, but hopefully, it actually ends up benefiting me.

Having a Diamon Cart batch with some of my stats will surely make customers feel like they can trust what I'm doing. I have to say, if I had myself as a personal shopper, I'd be very happy with the results that I provide.

This last one really doesn't seem like something I'll ever use, but it's the thought that counts I guess.

The reason I've been able to so quickly get to Diamond Cart is simply that I am damn good at this job. When I first started my seconds per item was around 100. Now it is under 50. That means it takes me less than a minute to find each item. I was at 60, which made it very easy to calculate how long batches would take me to shop just by looking at the total number of items. 40 items equaled 40 minutes in the store most likely. Now I have to estimate a bit and 40 items would more than likely only take me about 30 minutes.

I've mainly been going to Kroger because it is the easiest store to navigate by far. I'll occasionally shop at other stores, but not if I don't have to. I'd say there is a solid 6 different Kroger grocery stores that I swap between depending on where I am at that day and where the best batches are. I don't like traveling too far, although it is nice to know if I ever go out of town I can work anywhere in the USA.

I'm honestly just so proud of how quickly I've adapted to this job. It is very easy for me despite being challenging in a lot of ways for most people. I'm blessed to have a brain that functions at high speed and a body with nearly endless energy.

I'm now at the highest cart ranking, so I'll have to wait until June for it to reset before I have to climb the ladder all over again.

In the meantime, I will continue doing my weekly Instacart financial report.
