Después de irme de la radio, me quede pensando, en que, el amor por la tecnología nacio allí, es decir, siempre me ha gustado escribir de ello, pero, más que todo desde mi experiencia; en la radio aprendí a manejar y escribir noticias tecnologicas y también a emitir una opinión sobre ello. Por ello, creo que desde ahora hablaremos de vez en cuando sobre algunas novedades del mundo tecnologico y también cripto, por ello, arrancó hablando de WorldCoin.
Segura estoy de que todos sabemos el boom que ha tenido la Inteligencia Artificial, en parte, por la popularización de Chat GPT, con este tema conocimos a Sam Altman, quien es el CEO de la empresa OPEN AI (empresa desarrolladora de Chat GPT), Altman se ha hecho viral en varias ocasiones por sus peticiones o advertencias sobre la Inteligencia Artificial, pero, recientemente fue tema en todo el mundo, por su nueva creación WorldCoin.
After I left the radio, I was thinking that the love for technology was born there, that is, I always liked to write about it, but mostly from my experience; on the radio I learned to handle and write technology news and also to issue an opinion about it. So, I think that from now on we will talk from time to time about some news from the tech world and also crypto, so, I started talking about WorldCoin.
I am sure we all know the boom that Artificial Intelligence has had, in part, by the popularization of Chat GPT, with this topic we met Sam Altman, who is the CEO of the company OPEN AI (company developer of Chat GPT), Altman has gone viral on several occasions for his requests or warnings about Artificial Intelligence, but recently he was the topic worldwide, for his new creation WorldCoin.
WorldCoin, es un proyecto que busca escaear el iris de todos los seres humanos, en teoria con la finalidad de registrarlo y probar quienes son realmente humanos; la visión de la empresa es combatir un problema que CHAT GPT ha puesto en el tapete, y es saber quienes realmente son humanos y quien puede ser generado por inteligencia artificial. El proceso de escaneo estará a cargo de un objeto llamado The Orb.
El proyecto empezo con una inversión de 100 millones de dólares, y se sabe que trendrá con token, y es que en el ADN de este proyecto se encuentran los principios criptográficos para crear básicamente una red global de indentifdad y finanzas. Ahora bien, a finales del mes de julio, se presento oficialmente el token, el cual se llama WLD y al momento de escribir este post vale 1,81 dólares.
El funcionamiento entonces, de WorlCoin básicamente se ancla a World ID (la indentificación biometrica), para poder usarlo las personas se descargan la aplicación que se llama World App, y luego deben acceder a un dispositivo físico llamdo Orb para verificar la identidad; estos dispositivos se consiguen en empresas locales independientes, después del escaneo se emite el World ID y supuestamente luego de esto se borran todas las imagenes.
WorldCoin, is a project that seeks to scan the iris of all human beings, in theory in order to register it and prove who are really human; the vision of the company is to combat a problem that CHAT GPT has put on the table, and that is to know who really are human and who can be generated by artificial intelligence. The scanning process will be carried out by an object called The Orb.

The operation of WorlCoin is basically anchored to World ID (biometric identification), in order to use it people download the application called World App, and then must access a physical device called Orb to verify identity; these devices are available in local independent companies, after scanning the World ID is issued and supposedly after this all images are erased.
Posterior al escaneo, se recibe un bono de 25 WLD, pero, esto fue unicamente en su lanzamiento, actualmente no sé de que cantidad otorgan, sin embargo, según la empresas buscaran repartir los WLD de forma equitativa. Ahora bien, como era de esperarse no todas las personas están de acuerdo con este proyecto, lo que se traduce en demandas, por lo menos, en Argentina, el gobierno de dicho país demanda a la empresa, luego de que, en un centro comercial del país se intentaba realizar dicho escaneo; lo que más me llamo la atención era que las personas no estaban claros del proyecto, pensaban que era una empresa social dando dinero (claro que esta mal no investigar, antes de dar tu iris, pero, es claro que iba a pasar precisamente esto).
Después de colocarlos en contexto, quiero darles otro dato, y es que según algunos datos ya se realizaron más de 2 millones de escaneos en todo el mundo desde el lanzamiento de WorlCoin. Con todo ello, ahora sí, puedo darles mi opinión y es que, aunque las promesas de este proyecto parecen ser buenas, para mí, no es algo factible. Es decir, básicamente das una información muy importante, y te dan dinero por ello, sin animos de ser conspiranoica, siento que estan comprando los datos de todas las personas que lo hagan y siendo sincera no sabemos dónde pararan.
Para mí este proyecto esta descartado, sin embargo, me ha parecido importante realizar este post. Quiero decir, que aunque no es algo que yo haría, esto básicamente se trata de mi opinión y también algo de información, pero, finalmente una opinión que no busca hacer que todos piensen como yo. Aclarado ello, quiero leer lo que ustedes piensan de este proyecto, si lo habían escuchado antes o se acaban de enterar.

Now, as expected not all people agree with this project, which translates into lawsuits, at least, in Argentina, the government of that country sues the company, after, in a shopping center of the country tried to perform such scanning; what caught my attention was that people were not clear of the project, they thought it was a social enterprise giving money (of course it is wrong not to investigate, before giving your iris, but, it is clear that this was going to happen precisely this).
After putting them in context, I want to give them another piece of information, and that is that according to some data, more than 2 million scans have already been performed worldwide since the launch of WorlCoin. With all this, now I can give you my opinion and it is that, although the promises of this project seem to be good, for me, it is not something feasible. I mean, basically you give very important information, and they give you money for it, without being conspiratorial, I feel that they are buying the data of all the people who do it and being honest we don't know where they will stop.
For me this project is out of the question, however, I thought it was important to make this post. I want to say, that although it is not something I would do, this is basically my opinion and also some information, but, finally an opinion that does not seek to make everyone think like me. That being said, I want to read what you think about this project, if you have heard about it before or just found out about it.
