I just got started with this cold wallet, and right out of the box pretty much, I ran into this issue. I was able to send my DOGE from the Ledger account over to the Ellipal wallet, and also was able to swap DOGE for ATOM in the Ellipal app, but from there, frustration ensued. Don’t worry though - in case this is happening to you, I’ll tell you right up front that this story has a happy ending.
I made this video to document the steps leading up to the error (Signature Data Parsing Failed):

I have to go back to my posts on Reddit and make sure I update them to be clear that the support team was reasonably fast, and offered professional assistance that ultimately did lead to a solution…I was pretty heated when my funds appeared to be locked up due to what appeared to be a failure of the new device, but what can I say, sometimes I’m just a crotchety old bastard - but they handled the situation quickly and courteously, and deserve much credit for this.
In the video below I go through the process of updating the firmware, and afterwards I test out the success of the operation by staking some ATOM.
So in conclusion, while there was a slight hiccup at the start of my using this product, the issue was easily overcome with the kind and professional support of the Ellipal support team, and now I’m up and running - and have officially staked my first round of ATOM :)
