"Vidas de Papel" una conmovedora historia

Se trata de “Vidas de Papel”, una película protagonizada por Cagatay Ulusoy y Emir Ali Dogrul y que narra una historia muy particular ambientada en las calles de Estambul.
Antes de continuar, les confieso que es un verdadero reto compartir la experiencia de la película sin caer en spoiler, haré mi mejor esfuerzo por contarte por qué me gusto y por qué creo que debes tomarte un espacio para verla.
Vidas de Papel es un film turco que toca una cruda realidad de la pobreza y los niños que son abandonados a su suerte en las calles, creo que es un denominador común en casi todos los países del mundo, por eso de entrada ya captura un poco la atención. En el trama, vemos al protagonista llamado Mehmet dedicarse al cuidado de un niño (Ali) de unos 7 años de edad que encontró en la basura.
Mehmet es el encargado de un almacén de desechos y además de dirigir el negocio, se preocupa mucho por sus trabajadores, muestra mucha empatía por ellos, en parte porque comparten en común haber crecido en las calles y ser huérfanos, también arrastra una terrible enfermedad que lo está consumiendo.
Cuando Alí llega a su vida fue como una bocanada de esperanza para él, se aferra al niño cómo si fuera lo más importante en su triste vida y toma la determinación de ayudarlo para que el niño tenga una vida diferente a la que él tuvo. Entre ellos se genera un vínculo emocional muy fuerte, Alí lleva a Mehmet a conectarse con su infancia, con su aspecto inocente y alegre.
Por otra parte, debo confesarles que a ratos se hace un poco lento el desarrollo, pero cada detalle de la película cuenta para alimentar un final que te dejará con la boca abierta y te tomará absolutamente desprevenido, al menos fue mi caso. No lo veía venir y tampoco te lo voy a contar para que la veas.
¿Qué fue lo más aleccionador de la película?
Ver como esta relación entre los protagonistas llevó a remover todo el pasado de Mehmet y despertar su deseo de trascender toda esa historia que lo atormentaba es conmovedor, aunque para él fue todo un sufrimiento hasta el final.
Creo que reconciliarnos con esos traumas del pasado, dejar ir todas esas sombras y alimentar a ese niño interno felizmente, independientemente de la edad que tengas te da más posibilidades para estar en armonía y en paz con tu vida, y este fue el mensaje con el que me quedé de la película.

"Paper Lives" a touching story.
Greetings Hivers, today I want to recommend a very good movie that I had a chance to watch recently on Netflix.
It is "Paper Lives ", a movie starring Cagatay Ulusoy and Emir Ali Dogrul and tells a very particular story set in the streets of Istanbul.
Before I continue, I confess that it is a real challenge to share the experience of the movie without falling into spoilers, I will do my best to tell you why I liked it and why I think you should take the time to watch it.
Paper Lives is a Turkish film that touches on the harsh reality of poverty and children who are abandoned to their fate in the streets, I think it is a common denominator in almost every country in the world, so from the start it captures a little attention. In the plot, we see the protagonist named Mehmet taking care of a boy (Ali) about 7 years old that he found in the garbage.
Mehmet is the manager of a waste warehouse and besides running the business, he cares a lot about his workers, he shows a lot of empathy for them, partly because they share in common having grown up on the streets and being orphans, he also drags a terrible disease that is consuming him.
When Ali comes into his life it was like a breath of hope for him, he clings to the boy as if it were the most important thing in his sad life and takes the determination to help him so that the child has a different life than the one he had. A very strong emotional bond is generated between them, Ali takes Mehmet to connect with his childhood, with his innocent and joyful aspect.
On the other hand, I must confess that at times the development is a little slow, but every detail of the film counts to feed an ending that will leave you with your mouth open and will take you absolutely unprepared, at least it was my case. I didn't see it coming and I'm not going to tell you so you can see it either.
What was the most sobering thing about the film?
Seeing how this relationship between the protagonists led to stir up all of Mehmet's past and awaken his desire to transcend all that history that haunted him is touching, even though it was all suffering for him until the end.
I believe that reconciling with those past traumas, letting go of all those shadows and nurturing that inner child happily, no matter how old you are, gives you more possibilities to be in harmony and at peace with your life, and this was the message I took away from the movie.
