Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros iracundos del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, no sabía que traer para el día de hoy y mientras me encontraba en ese momento de duda e incertidumbre me salió un video en Tiktok que cambio el asunto, resulta que era fragmento de un filme protagonizado por Adam Sandler y Jack Nicholson titulado “Anger Management” que al tener a un genio de la comedia y a un actor altamente versátil podía resultar en algo interesante. Sin más que agregar prepárense porque las clases de control de la ira están por comenzar.
Anger Management was released in 2003, directed by Peter Segal, produced by Revolution Studios and Happy Madison, and has a duration of 1 hour and 46 minutes. It is a comedy film, the story focuses on Dave, a man who had a difficult and somewhat traumatic childhood, as a result of which he decides to avoid confrontations as much as possible, something that has allowed him to endure excessive abuse, this is is reflected when he takes a flight for work which is the scene for a terrible misunderstanding that will lead our protagonist to mandatory anger control classes with Dr. Buddy, this will be the starting point for a strange experience full of fun and equal parts weirdos who will be able to help Dave or not.

Es un filme de comedia, la historia se enfoca en Dave un hombre que tuvo una infancia difícil y algo traumática, producto de ello es que decide evitar las confrontaciones lo más posible, siendo algo que ha permitido que soporte abusos de sobre manera, esto se ve reflejado cuando toma un vuelo por trabajo el cual es escenario para un terrible malentendido que llevara a nuestro protagonista a clases de control de la ira obligatorias con el Dr. Buddy, esto será el punto de partida para una experiencia extraña cargada de momentos divertidos y raros a partes iguales que podrá ayudar a Dave o no.

The soundtrack is nothing spectacular, it is present but it doesn't make a difference since there is not much it can do in a comedy film.
La banda sonora no es nada espectacular, está presente pero no hace la diferencia puesto que no hay mucho que pueda hacer en un filme de comedia.
The world building has nothing special, it is a simple setting that really has nothing remarkable or anything similar, it could be considered weak writing but since the premise of the film is about a normal office worker who is in a process of Anger management is not really a problem.
La construcción de mundo no tiene nada especial, es un escenario sin más que no tiene realmente nada destacable ni nada que se le asemeje, podría considerarse escritura floja pero siendo que la premisa del filme es sobre un oficinista normal que se encuentra en un proceso de manejo de la ira no existe realmente un problema.
The plot is where the bulk of the film is, from the start I will say that it is not Sandler's funniest film but it does have its funny moments that make it tolerable, its premise doesn't really have anything more serious, so there is nothing more than standing out. As you can imagine, the narrative is not at all complex, with the premise that expecting something moderately complex would be absurd, however I must mention that throughout the film there are certain winks that pave the way for the final twist, so Alright. The film does not feel tedious or boring at any time, this is because it has well-done moments of comedy, some of the jokes are somewhat dull but well, broadly speaking the duration is digestible due to the various humorous moments it contains.
La trama es en donde se encuentra el grueso del filme, desde el vamos diré que no es la película más graciosa de Sandler pero si tiene sus momentos divertidos que la hacen tolerable, su premisa no tiene realmente nada más serio, por lo que no hay nada más que destacar. Como se imaginaran la narrativa no es en absoluto compleja, con la premisa que tiene esperarse algo medianamente complejo sería absurdo, no obstante he de mencionar que a lo largo de la cinta hay ciertos guiños que allanan el terreno para el giro final, por lo que está bien. El filme no se siente tedioso ni aburrido en ningún momento, esto se debe a que tiene momentos de comedia bien logrados, algunos de los chistes son algo sosos pero bueno, a grandes rasgos la duración es digerible debido a los diversos momentos jocosos que alberga.
There is a funny contrast here because Dave is constructed as a moderately believable character and Dr. Buddy is completely eccentric and absurd, the fact that they combine well makes the film feel fun and absurd in most cases. I would like to say something more about these but they only serve as characters to make a joke, apart from that there is nothing else.
Aquí existe un contraste gracioso debido a que Dave es construido como un personaje medianamente creíble y el Dr. Buddy es completamente excéntrico y absurdo, el hecho de que combinen bien hace que el filme se sienta divertido y absurdo en la mayoría de casos. Me gustaría decir algo más de estos pero solo fungen como personajes para hacer un chiste, fuera de ello no hay más nada.
Anger Management is broadly speaking an entertaining film with basic and absurd jokes that are funny and entertaining, its story is somewhat bland but since its main objective is humor, it is not something that should be given much importance. It is for all of the above that it deserves 3 stars out of 7, an entertaining film with several funny moments that will make you laugh out loud.
Anger Management es a grandes rasgos un filme entretenido con chistes básicos y absurdos que hacen gracia y entretienen, su historia es algo sosa pero siendo que su principal objetivo es el humor no es algo a lo que haya que tomarle mucha importancia. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3 estrellas de 7, una película entretenida con varios momentos divertidos que te harán sacar una que otra carcajada.
