I like Star Wars although I am not its biggest fan, that's for sure. But that didn't prevent me from enjoying the 2 seasons produced so far about The Mandalorian, plus, the creators of the series nailed it by including Baby Yoda.
At the final of the second season from The Mandalorian, this series was revealed, and given the fact it appeared to share the same tune, I immediately decided I would binge watch it after all the episodes were available. I don't like waiting 1 week for each new episode so that's why I sometimes have to wait longer to begin watching a series. This isn't the case with Netflix productions by the way, because they release all the episodes at once, unlike the rest of the streaming services.
What was the series about?
The series follows the adventures of Boba Fett beginning when he was close to dying, to becoming a ruler of a small town. When the series begins, Fett is inside a very weird creature and I guess most people would have died when facing those very same circumstances. Fett. however, is a Mandalorian and therefore, extremely resistant and knowledgeable about survival methods.
Soon after he survives being inside the weird beast, he gets captured by a tribe and at the beginning, he is treated like just another regular prisoner. It seems like Fett is going through a period of very bad luck but things will soon change for him.
Eventually, he will manage to gain the trust and respect of this tribe, and they will develop some type of cooperative relationships, where both parts share their useful knowledge and skills. He becomes one of them, and given the typeof lifestyle of the tribe members, it is normal for them to constantly have problems and conflicts with other tribes and gangs. These conflicts will become bigger than originally expected for both Fett and probably for most viewers as well.
His time in this tribe won't last long and Fett is forced to begin another journey on his own once again. All of this is just the beginning of the series and simply putting the pieces in their proper places for what's to come.
Me gusta Star Wars aunque no soy su mayor fan, eso seguro. Pero eso no me impidió disfrutar de las 2 temporadas producidas hasta ahora sobre The Mandalorian, además, los creadores de la serie lo hicieron muy bien al crear a Baby Yoda.
Al final de la segunda temporada de The Mandalorian, se reveló esta serie, y dado el hecho de que parecía compartir el mismo tono, inmediatamente decidí que la vería en maraton después de que todos los episodios estuvieran disponibles. No me gusta esperar 1 semana por cada nuevo episodio, por eso a veces tengo que esperar más para empezar a ver una serie. Por cierto, este no es el caso de las producciones de Netflix, porque lanzan todos los episodios a la vez, a diferencia del resto de los servicios de streaming.
¿De qué trataba la serie?
La serie sigue las aventuras de Boba Fett comenzando cuando estaba a punto de morir, hasta convertirse en el jefazo de un pequeño pueblo. Cuando comienza la serie, Fett está dentro de una criatura muy extraña y supongo que la mayoría de la gente habría muerto al enfrentarse a esas mismas circunstancias. Fett, sin embargo, es un Mandalorian y, por lo tanto, extremadamente resistente y conocedor de métodos de supervivencia.

There will be a lot of conflicts with new as well as old enemies, and theseries shows how Fett's tries to deal with everything, and also he he even uses a little bit of politics to help his interests. Towards the end of the series, in the final 3 episodes or so, important characters from previous productions will make an appearance, which is why these episodes were my favorites of the entire season.
The series was fine for the most part, but I was honestly expecting something groundbreaking and was a little disappointed that this series is simply far from it. Nevertheless, it had its cool moments for sure.
Main names associated with the series
The main director of the series was Robert Rodriguez, who has about 30 years of experience and has worked as a director in more than 50 productions. Some of his recent ones are Alita: Battle Angel, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, and Machete Kills.
Jon Favreau was the main writer of the story. He is mostly known for his acting roles, but sometimes he also works as a writer, and Boba Fett, as well as The Mandalorian, are his main creations. A couple of other productions written by him are Chef and Couples Retreat.
Temuera Morrison played the main role in the series, Boba Fett, a Mandalorian with many decades of experience. As an actor, Morrison has had a very successful career, and among his recent films we can find Occupation: Rainfall, Aquaman, and The Osiris Child.
Habrá muchos conflictos con nuevos y viejos enemigos, y esta serie muestra cómo Fett trata de lidiar con todo, y también usa un poco de política para ayudar a sus intereses. Hacia el final de la serie, en los últimos 3 episodios más o menos, aparecerán personajes importantes de producciones anteriores, por lo que estos episodios fueron mis favoritos de toda la temporada.

How were the performance from the cast, the scenery and the writing work?
The performances were all right, but the costume design of many space races left much to be desired, and this was reduced by a lot of my enjoyment of the series. Not all of the weird space races looked awful, but some of them did and this was a complete turn-off. The main characters were ok with their roles for the most part though, and there was also an insane CGI in episode 6 that was mind-blowing.
The scenery was acceptable, typical of Star Wars but sometimes I find it hard to believe why these people have small towns with very primitive looks if they also have super-advanced technology that allows space travel?
The writing was regular, there were no huge twists, and I don't feel the story was too intriguing, to be honest. There were only a couple of conflicts with a simple resolution that didn't add anything innovative to the table.
Final thoughts
The Book of Boba Fett was simply fine, but not a big deal at least not for me. I considered it a fine space action series but not necessarily a must-watch except for die-hard fans of Star Wars of course.
If a new season gets released down the road, I will certainly watch it because it can be fun but I do believe they could produce something much more intense and enjoyable. The Star Wars universe has a lot of potential and I don't feel they are using it to its full extent.
¿Cómo fue la actuación del elenco, la escenografía y el trabajo de escritura?
Las actuaciones estuvieron bien, pero el diseño de vestuario de muchas razas espaciales dejó mucho que desear, y esto redujo por mucho de mi disfrute de la serie. No todas las razas espaciales extrañas se veían horribles, pero algunas de ellas sí y esto no me gusto para nada. Sin embargo, los personajes principales estaban bien con sus roles en su mayor parte, y también hubo un CGI espectacular en el episodio 6 que fue alucinante.
La escenografía estuvo aceptable, típica de Star Wars pero a veces me cuesta creer por qué esta gente tiene pueblos pequeños con un aspecto muy primitivo si además tienen una tecnología súper avanzada que permite viajar al espacio.
La escritura fue regular, no hubo grandes giros y, para ser honesto, no siento que la historia fuera demasiado intrigante. Solo hubo un par de conflictos con una resolución simple que no agregó nada innovador a la mesa.
Reflexiones finales
El Libro de Boba Fett estuvo bien y poco más, no fue gran cosa, al menos no para mí. La consideré una buena serie de acción espacial, pero no necesariamente un must-watch, excepto para los fanáticos acérrimos de Star Wars, por supuesto.
Si se lanza una nueva temporada en el futuro, ciertamente la veré porque puede ser divertida, pero creo que podrían producir algo mucho más intenso y disfrutable. El universo de Star Wars tiene mucho potencial y no siento que lo estén aprovechando en toda su extensión.
