One of the main attractions of The Morning Show is its incredible cast that I will mention below. The amount of talent is simply world-class, and I was really interested in seeing what could all of these people could accomplish together.
I wasn't sure what to expect of this show because it belongs to the drama genre but its main cast members became famous mainly due to their performances in comedies, so I thought for a while that this series was a sort of dramedy.
After watching the first season, I can say the show isn't a dramedy but a full-blown drama that feels overdone and overacted at times.
What was the series about?
The series is about the life of several people who work in a fictional news show called The Morning Show. This is the #1 new show in the country, and the 2 main presenters are almost like celebrities.
However, the series is mostly about the events after a major drama gets revealed that threatens with destroying not only the person involved but also the entire show as well.
It is a type of drama, and sometimes even crime, that has received a lot of attention in the past few years due to the number of cases that have been revealed by the people who suffered them. It is the type of drama/crime that can psychologically destroy the life of the victim.
The series explores the chaos that ensues after the big drama is revealed, and how the other people in the show react and adopt strategies with the goal of protecting their own interests.
As is the case in many series where a big corporation is part of the story, characters are very willing to betray one another if they think it is beneficial for them. There are some friendships in the workspace of course, but most if not all of them will be tested by the storm resulting from the revelation of the huge drama.

The destructive wave of this drama/crime has only just begun, and its full consequences will be explored in season 2. The ending of season 1 can almost be considered a sort of cliffhanger, but since the second season is already available I have no problems with that.
The series could have been much better though, as mentioned below, I believe there were simply too much screaming and excessive emotionality in some characters, and it did feel like it was overacted during some scenes. However, I am sure many people will think differently and enjoy all the performances from the cast members. The Morning Show isn't a masterpiece like HBO's drama Succession, but it can be decent and enjoyable by a lot of viewers.
Main names associated with the series
The main director of the series so far is Mimi Leder, a very experienced woman that usually directs episodes of TV shows. She previously worked in The Leftovers, Shameless and Full Circle.
Jay Carson is the main writer of the show, and surprisingly he has only worked as a writer 2 times including this series, the other production he also wrote is called The Front Runner.
Kerry Ehrin also worked in all the episodes so far, and her writing career started in the 80s, which makes it clear she is very experienced when it comes to creating stories. Some of her other recent productions are Bates Motel, Parenthood and Rise.
Ali Vingiano is the only remaining writer who also participated in all the episodes so far. Most of her previous writings jobs were in shorts, but she participated in a couple of episodes of a series called 5 Stages.
Jennifer Aniston plays one of the main characters, reporter Alex Levy. She is a very intense and hardworking woman, who will have to go through very challenging experiences both in her professional life and in her family life as well. Aniston is such a popular actress who got famous thanks to her role in the comedy series Friends, and in recent times she has acted in Murder Mystery, Office Christmas Party, and Horrible Bosses.
Reese Witherspoon plays a character named Bradley Jackson who is also a reporter. She has strong principles and her main goal is to make trustworthy reports about important topics. She doesn't enjoy pretending, she hates lies and deceits, and this will allow her to lead important changes in her job. We can find this actress in Little Fires Everywhere, Big Little Lies, and a A Wrinkle in Time.

Therefore, he will be forcefully involved in a very ugly drama. I first discovered this actor thanks to his role in the movies Creep and Creep 2 which I totally recommend watching if you are in the mood for some original horror, and then I also watched him in another cool movie called Safety Not Guaranteed.
How were the performance from the cast and the writing work?
The performances from the cast were so-so, mainly because it sometimes felt like the cast members, especially Aniston and Witherspoon, were ordered to yell constantly simply for the sake of yelling. There was too much screaming, rage, and chaos, and it felt a bit overdone in my opinion.
In some moments, their performances were spectacular but the constant nervous breakdown and chaotic screaming weren't very enjoyable for me. This is the main reason why the show was a bit of a disappointment for me. It made me think the creators simply planned to include a lot of screams and that would magically result in an enjoyable drama but that's not the case.
The first season has a very intense ending, and I will be watching the second season soon to see how it all gets resolved. I really hope there is less screaming though because chaotic noise isn't by itself an intriguing aspect of drama.
Final thoughts
The Morning Show is a production with a lot of talented cast members, exploring a type of drama that has become quite popular in recent years, and certainly needs to be addressed and resolved.
However, I believe some characters were simply extremely chaotic with little to no emotional intelligence and this made some scenes really annoying.
The series also shows how politics are handled by big corporations, and how a bit of corruption can easily live inside of them. I was hoping for a better show, and if it wasn't for the constant screaming it would have been much better for me.

Sin embargo, creo que algunos personajes eran simplemente extremadamente caóticos con poca o ninguna inteligencia emocional y esto hizo que algunas escenas fueran realmente molestas.
