Greetings everyone,
Becoming an engineer has always been something I have fancied since infancy and it is certainly something that I have not regretted pursuing. However, it did not pan out the way I thought it would. This is partly because I used to think I would be sitting in an office the whole time while working. It is the exact opposite. Engineers are the ones who are on the field devising strategies to ensure that the right systems are in place and that they are working as efficiently as possible.
Not that I dislike the career path I took, but I think it was all part of the growth process we undertake while developing our careers and transitioning into full maturity within our fields. I am growing to like it and can see it as something I can do for a long period. Such is life.
There are many twists and turns in life. It is an emotional, experience-, and challenge-filled roller coaster ride. There will be good times as well as bad times. There will be times when we experience success, love, and happiness. And there will also be times when we experience dejection, isolation, and would feel defeated.
However, it's crucial to keep in mind that the journey will include both highs and lows. Neither the bad nor the good cannot exist without the other. Life's difficulties transcend upon us to develop and learn as they help us become more resilient in life.
While we may face the hurdles life may throw at us, it is also crucial to seek out help in any difficult period. Speak to your loved ones, friends, or a therapist. There is no shame in requesting assistance. Anyone who claims they haven't faced a challenge themselves is surely telling lies.
Life is not a script we have written to act by the storyline. However, it is something we are figuring out on our own so don't worry about the bumps on the road, but brace yourself well to be able to withstand any shocks along the way.
The journey is quite long and as such, we must stay informed about its associated twists and turns.
