El día de hoy voy a tocar un tema, que estoy totalmente seguro muchos de los hermanos aquí presentes pudieran estar viviendo con sus hijos. Y ese no es más que el tema de la hiperactividad, una enfermedad que viví con mi hijo Miguel, pero que nos llenó de mucha paciencia y fortaleza. Aquí les contaré varias situaciones que pasamos con él desde su nacimiento, hasta saber que nuestro bebé tenía TDAH. Diagnosticado para él como Síndrome de Hiperactividad del Lactante, que avanzó hasta la edad preescolar, diagnóstico que nos indicó su segundo neurólogo tratante El Doctor Luis Indriago.

Today I am going to touch on a topic, which I am totally sure many of the brothers here present could be living with their children. And that is nothing more than the issue of hyperactivity, a disease that I lived with my son Miguel, but which filled us with a lot of patience and strength. Here I will tell you about various situations that we went through with him from birth, until we learned that our baby had ADHD. Diagnosed for him as Infant Hyperactivity Syndrome, which progressed to preschool age, a diagnosis indicated by his second treating neurologist, Dr. Luis Indriago.

Pero ¿qué es el TDAH?. De acuerdo a explicaciones del doctor Indriago, en su momento nos indicó que el Trastorno de Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad es una enfermedad que ocurre desde el nacimiento, y si no se trata o controla puede avanzar a la edad adulta. Como dije anteriormente todo esto desencadenó en el diagnóstico de Hiperactividad del Lactante hasta la edad escolar.

Por lo menos a Miguel se le dio leche de soya, la alimentación fue a base de arroz y maíz, además de sus verduras y proteínas, jamás combinar verduras. Cero café. Chucherías ni verlas, y en este caso comprábamos chucherías para él en una tienda especial para niños hiperactivos. Se podrán imaginar el gasto tan grande, porque una dieta de este tipo de verdad que es costosa. Cuando íbamos con Miguel a una fiesta casi no disfrutábamos porque él no dormía nadita. Por allí está una foto donde fue tomada con él y su hermana. Y para que se quedara tranquilo en esa silla hicimos muchas maromas hasta que lo logramos. En otra oportunidad intentamos tomar una foto con lentes y toda la monería que uno se le puede ocurrir. Miguel tomó un muñeco, se puso los lentes y eso era correr y correr por toda la habitación, nosotros detrás de él Miguel una foto, una foto, y el niño nada que ver estaba en su mundo, hasta que se agachó y sonrió un momento, ese fue el instante que logramos la foto. De verdad que si hay que tener paciencia y no perder la compostura.

On another occasion we tried to take a photo with glasses and all the cuteness that one can think of. Miguel took a doll, put on his glasses and that was running and running around the room, we behind him Miguel a photo, a photo, and the child was in his world, nothing to see, until he crouched down and smiled for a moment That was the moment we got the photo. Otra de las claves que nos indicó el doctor y resultó con Miguel, es que no hay que presionarlo mucho, crear una buena rutina, descubrir lo que más le gusta y entramos por allí. Otra anécdota fue cuando teníamos que cortarle el cabello a Miguel, que llegara ese día jamás lo quería. Para sentarlo en la silla había que marearlo con algo antes, ponerlo a jugar. Al sentarlo se movía para todos lados. Una vez se paso la máquina más de lo normal por los cantantes movimientos, y no hubo más remedio que dejarlo bajitico. Toda una odisea cortarle el cabello.
