Cuando somos padres, de esos que son responsables 😂, buscamos hacer lo mejor en pro de nuestros hijos, así esto requiera esfuerzo o sacrificios de nuestra parte muchas veces.
Hace 3 semanas mi esposo y yo tomamos una decisión difícil económicamente, pero fácil basada en el amor que tenemos por nuestro hijo menor, Joaquín. Lo cambiamos de escuela, ya no estudia donde estaba, en la escuela donde aún estudia Ammy (mi hija mayor). ¿Los motivos? Muchos, nada de seguridad para él, cuando es un niño de inicial o pre-escolar, la maestra no está al pendiente y son muchos niños, además nos daba miedo de que se saliera de la escuela o un niño grande le hiciera algo malo. Por otra parte la maestra el año pasado me pedía quedarme con él y eso era algo que tampoco era bueno ni para el niño, ni para mí. Así que por eso y más tomamos esa decisión.

When we are parents, of those who are responsible 😂, we seek to do the best for our children, even if this requires effort or sacrifices on our part many times.
Three weeks ago my husband and I made a difficult decision financially, but easy based on the love we have for our youngest son, Joaquin. We changed his school, he no longer studies where he was, in the school where Ammy (my eldest daughter) still studies. The reasons? Many, no security for him, when he is a kindergarten or pre-school child, the teacher is not attentive and there are many children, plus we were afraid that he would leave the school or a big kid would do something bad to him. On the other hand, last year the teacher asked me to stay with him and that was not good either for the child or for me. So that's why we made that decision.
¿Encontrar el lugar fue fácil?
Hace 2 años, cuando Joaquín ya iba a iniciar la etapa escolar, nos recomendaron el lugar que conseguí, se llama "Salto Ángel" quizás a algunos le suene el nombre y sí, es por el Salto Ángel que está en Venezuela, su dueña es Venezolana, tiene pedagogía en niños con retrasos de lenguaje y otras características, también es terapeuta y psicóloga. Su centro es privado, así es costoso y por esa razón el año pasado no pudimos inscribir a Joaquín allí, pero este año se logró y además con un descuento, uno que no pedimos, pero que Dios puso en el corazón de la dueña del lugar, ya que realmente lo necesitábamos.
En casi 3 semanas de clase, Joaquín ha demostrado cambios notorios, es mucho más sociable, vocaliza más y además de eso baila, él de pequeño bailaba y ha dado a entender su gusto por la música, pero ahora no solo baila, brinca y disfruta oír algunas melodías, eso me encanta, pues soy fan de bailar 😂 y eso lo heredé de mi abuela materna. ¿Lo mejor? Joaquín se queda solo, le gusta, lo disfruta y tiene vigilancia a través de camaras de seguridad y todo un protocolo de acceso. El lugar es acogedor y la atención más personalizada.

Was it easy to find the place?
Two years ago, when Joaquin was about to start school, the place I found was recommended to us, it's called "Salto Angel" maybe the name sounds familiar to some of you and yes, it's because of Salto Angel which is in Venezuela, the owner is Venezuelan, she has a degree in pedagogy for children with language delays and other characteristics, she is also a therapist and psychologist. Her centre is private, so it is expensive and for that reason last year we couldn't enrol Joaquín there, but this year we managed to do it and also with a discount, one that we didn't ask for, but that God put in the heart of the owner of the place, because we really needed it.
In almost 3 weeks of class, Joaquín has shown noticeable changes, he is much more sociable, he is more vocal and besides that he dances, he used to dance when he was little and he has shown his love for music, but now he not only dances, he jumps and enjoys listening to some melodies, I love that, because I am a fan of dancing 😂 and I inherited that from my maternal grandmother. The best thing? Joaquín stays alone, he likes it, he enjoys it and he has surveillance through security cameras and a whole access protocol. The place is cosy and the attention is more personalised.

No todo es color de rosa, el esfuerzo no solo es monetario, la escuela nueva de Joaquín me queda al otro extremo de la ciudad y debo atravesarla en bus mínimo 40 minutos antes de su hora de salida y además caminar varias cuadras, para ahorrar dinero en transporte. Mi esposo lo lleva, ya que queda cerca de su trabajo, eso implica que Joaquín deba salir muy temprano con papá de casa. Siempre Amelie me acompaña a buscarlo al salir y de regreso a veces pasamos por Ammy, que estudia cerca de casa o mi mamá (su abuela) va por ella a la escuela.
Ya nos estamos adaptando, este inicio de mes, nos toca pagar la primera cuota con un 30% de descuento y la matrícula nos hizo un descuento del 50%, la cual se paga solo una vez. Al inicio Joaquín no tenía uniforme y ya lo tiene, allí también obtuvimos un pequeño descuento y realmente estamos felices de poder lograr por su bienestar, que este en esta nueva escuela.

Not everything is rosy, the effort is not only monetary, Joaquín's new school is at the other end of the city and I have to cross it by bus at least 40 minutes before its departure time and also walk several blocks, to save money on transport. My husband takes him, as it is close to his work, which means that Joaquín has to leave home very early with his father. Amelie always accompanies me to pick him up on the way out and on the way back we sometimes go by Ammy, who studies close to home, or my mum (his grandmother) picks her up from school.
We are already adapting, at the beginning of this month, we have to pay the first instalment with a 30% discount and the registration fee with a 50% discount, which is paid only once. At the beginning Joaquín didn't have a uniform and now he has one, so we also got a small discount and we are really happy to be able to make it possible for him to attend this new school for his wellbeing.
