Надвечір прочитали попередження від ДСНС, що на річці Десна утворився льодовий затор, і його планують підірвати. А необхідність підриву виникла через льодохід, що стався вище по течії. Величезні товсті крижини там несе швидкою течією вниз. І якщо крижинами буде зупинено природний плин річки, то всі береги вверх по течії просто підуть під воду. Крім того, сама Десна має дуже звивисте русло. І на його поворотах також кригою може бути завдано великої шкоди всьому, що там знаходиться. Тому спеціалістами вирішено було штучно зруйнувати суцільний шар криги, що залишився на виході Десни до її русла.

And if the natural flow of the river is stopped by ice floes, then all the banks upstream will simply go under water. In addition, the Desna itself has a very winding channel. And on its turns, ice can also cause great damage to everything that is there. Therefore, specialists decided to artificially destroy a solid layer of ice that remained at the outlet of the Desna River to its channel.

Довгі роки мала щастя відвідувати улюблену річку щотижня. Один льодохід запам'ятався на все життя. На щастя, це величаве видовище збереглося в моїх відеоархівах, і я з задоволенням ним ділюся. Тоді у цьому місці криги не було зовсім, і ми сміливо та безпечно закинули спінінги в очікування кльову риби. Але раптом вище по течії з'явилась величезна крижина, яка могла знести і вудки, і підставки, і навіть нас. Якби ми вчасно не відреагували та відійшли подалі від стихії.
Іноді втручання людини в природну стихію рятує ситуацію від руйнувань. Адже часто населені пункти знаходяться неподалік від річок. І такий несподіваний та потужний льодохід може наробити лиха.
