See what fuel scarcity has caused.

If you're a Nigerian, I don't need to lay so much emphasis on what has been going on at fueling stations these days, you know already.

The queue is something else, I keep wondering if other countries are experiencing this scarcity of fuel.

The increase in the price of fuel has made the cost of transportation more expensive. If not that I work from home most of the time, I wonder how one would be surviving, hubby has to spend a lot to get to work and to return back, the days I also have to leave the house, we spend double.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine explained how hectic it was for him to get fuel at the Fueling Station. He mentioned that the attendants at the Fueling Station stopped selling the fuel in containers for people because they had to attend to the many vehicles on queue. Lucky enough for my friend he was able to buy fuel in his container before that announment was made.

As my friend got home, he felt so happy that he was able to buy fuel that he would use in powering his generator in case there is no power supply. A few minutes later a friend of his came knocking. He opened the door and let him in. They sat and discussed about random things till it got to the fuel topic. He narrated his ordeal to him about not been able to buy fuel.

My friend who didn't want to let his friend know initially that he was able to buy fuel had no choice but to mention that he was just lucky, because his friend Desmond had already sighted the container of fuel in his apartment.

Desmond who seemed to be desperately in need of fuel begged his friend to sell it to him, and he would pay double of the amount he got it.

My friend thought about it for a while, then he decided to sell what he bought at $5 for $10.

They were both happy that they were able to do good business because they both felt satisfied. As he stepped out to leave, my friend decided to see him off to the gate. He stood at the gate as he watched his friend leave. As he was about going inside with a sarcastic smile on his face.

He noticed that someone stopped his friend on the way, he didn't know what they were discussing but the next thing he saw was his friend giving the container of fuel to the person.

Before he could get to where his friend was, that person had already gotten to where his car had stopped and was already turning the fuel into the car's fuel tank.

With fear, he shouted and asked his Desmond why he sold the fuel.

"Calm down", Desmond said with a smiling face, explaining to his friend that he just did a good business, he sold the fuel for $40. He narrated how he convinced the person to pay $40 for it because of the increase in fuel price and scarcity.

My friend cried out saying that he shouldn't have sold it.
Desmond was confused and asked why his friend wasn't happy with the good business transaction he did.
He replied and revealed that it was water he sold to him, there was no fuel in the container, it was just water.

The person Desmond has sold it to overheard them. As Desmond turned to the direction of the person, he realized that the person was accompanied by soldiers.

On seeing the soldiers, my friend ran as fast as he could. Desmond was about to do the same, unfortunately for him, he noticed that he couldn't move. He looks at his feet and saw the two hefty soldiers holding his legs already.

The rest of the story of what happened to Desmond is history, we can all guess what the soldiers would do to him for deceiving them and collecting money.

My friend who caused the whole problem escaped. What a world.
