Today I want to tell you about a fantastic trip to one of the historic capitals of the world, between art, culture and beautiful landscapes, we go together to visit the heart of ancient Greece: Athens.
I will divide this post into three parts in which I will talk about different aspects of the city:

INTRODUCTION
Hello friends of #Haveyoubeenhere!!! I hope you're all doing well... Today I want to take my mind off all the bad things that are happening in the world and to do so I decided to write a post for you; I'll tell you about a trip I made a few years ago with my brother in Athens, a really extraordinary city.
I don't just want to talk about the history and the origins of this city, but how to live in it, what you feel when you're here.

Oggi voglio distrarmi un po da tutte le brutte cose che stanno accadendo nel mondo e per farlo h deciso di scrivere un post per voi; vi parler貌 di un viaggio che ho fatto qualche anno fa con mio fratello ad Atene una citt脿 davvero straordinaria.
Non vi voglio parlare solamente dei cenni storici e delle origini di questa citt脿, ma di come ci si vive, quello che si percepisce e si sente quando sei qui.
AN OPEN-AIR MUSEUM
In Athens, wherever you are, it feels like you're in a museum. We are in one of the oldest cities in the world, whose first settlements date back to 13000 BC, but to see the Athens we know, the beautiful and flourishing one, the center of culture and economy, we have to wait until the fifth century.

In the fifth century BC Athens became the largest and most flourishing city in the Greek world reaching a very high level of development, so much so that even today every subject of study always begins with a reference to Greek philosophy and science.
When we move around the city, especially in the ancient part "old town" which has an area of 39 square kilometers, we find the ancient traces of classical architecture, some restored and maintained really well.
Nel V Secolo a.C. Atene diventa la pi霉 grande e fiorente citt脿 del mondo greco raggiungendo un elevatissimo livello di sviluppo, tanto che ancora oggi ogni materia di studio inizia sempre da un riferimento alla filosofia ed alla scienza greca.
Quando ci spostiamo per la citt脿, soprattutto nella parte antica "centro storico" che ha un'area di 39 chilometri quadrati, troviamo le tracce antiche dell'architettura classica, alcune restaurate e mantenute davvero bene.
Qui si respira davvero un'aria storica, le rovine e i reperti architettonici lasciano spazio alla nostra fantasia per vedere questi mercati, questi templi e dimore abitate e vissute dalle popolazioni antiche.

Athens bases its tourism on this historical part of the city, and it is not difficult to think that this is enough to explain the origins of modern civilization, each archaeological site is in fact part of a complex of various areas many of which can be visited and accessed through the purchase of a ticket.

The ruins of the historic city are beautiful in any season, but I assure you that if you can go in September, when the season is still hot you will find the best conditions.
As you can see from the photos in fact every landscape and every archaeological find is always on the background of a magnificent cycle of deep blue, a wonder!

Come vedete dalle foto infatti ogni paesaggio e ogni reperto archeologico 猫 sempre sullo sfondo di un magnifico ciclo azzurro intenso, una meraviglia!
In every landscape there is always a trace of the past, and in the background there is always the Acropolis that we visited and that I will tell you about below.

THE HISTORY OF ATHENS BEGINS WITH A MYTH
LA STORIA DI ATENE COMINCIA CON UN MITO
The inhabitants of this city found their origins in fairy-tale situations; but it is never a question of completely invented stories but rather of deformed and remote truths... irretrievable, transmitted from generation to generation by means of songs, myths and representations, and through architectural ornaments (such as those of the Parthenon).
Gli abitanti di Questa citt脿 fondano le proprie origini in situazioni fiabesche; ma non si tratta mai di storie del tutto inventate ma bens矛 di verit脿 deformate e remote... irrecuperabili, trasmesse da generazione in generazione per mezzo canti miti e rappresentazioni, e attraverso gli ornamenti architettonici (come per esempio quelli del Partenone).
The origin of everything was a Goddess, who formed a whole with the city, and from whom it takes its name: Athena. It is a very ancient Greek name. Another version of the myth that explains the origin of the name of this city, does not designate Athena as the founder, but only as the goddess who gave her name and became its protector. When the city that would later become Athens the Goddess had determined that it would become rich, prosperous and the most powerful in all of Greece. Poseidon also wanted her under his protection, since he was the protector of Attica.
L'origine di tutto era una Dea, che formava un tutt'uno con la citt脿, e dalla quale prende il nome: Atena. 脠 un nome greco molto antico. Un'altra versione del mito che spiega l'origine del nome di questa citt脿, non designa Atena come fondatrice, ma solo come la dea che le diede il proprio nome e ne divent貌 la protettrice. Quando la citt脿 che sarebbe poi divenuta Atene la Dea aveva stabilito che sarebbe diventata ricca, prospera e la pi霉 potente di tutta la Grecia. Anche Poseidone la voleva sotto la sua protezione, poich茅 egli era il protettore dell'Attica.
Athena and Poseidon began a war, neither of the two wanted to grant the city to the other and even Zeus could not agree.
Athena proposed to let the citizens decide who would take custody of the city and then Athena and Poseidon gathered the people of the city on the Acropolis and said that each of the two would grant a gift: the gift judged best would win the respective deity.
Poseidon made a magnificent horse appear, while Athena made an olive tree grow from the ground. From the crowd came forward one of the most authoritative elders stating that both gifts were very important: the horse represented strength, courage, war, and the olive tree represented prudence, serenity, peace.
Atena e Poseidone cominciarono una guerra, nessuno dei due voleva concedere la citt脿 all'altro e neppure Zeus riusc矛 a metterli d'accordo.
Atena propose di lasciar decidere ai cittadini chi ne avrebbe preso la custodia e quindi Atena e Poseidone riunirono il popolo della citt脿 sull'Acropoli e dissero che ciascuno dei due avrebbe concesso un dono: il regalo giudicato migliore avrebbe fatto vincere la rispettiva divinit脿.
Poseidone fece comparire un magnifico cavallo, mentre Atena fece nascere dal terreno un ulivo. Dalla folla si fece avanti uno degli anziani pi霉 autorevoli affermando che entrambi i doni molto importanti: il cavallo rappresentava la forza, il coraggio, la guerra, e l'ulivo la prudenza, la serenit脿, la pace.
War could bring riches, power, peace, although the goods it granted were less conspicuous, were also more secure and lasting.
Everyone agreed with the elder's words and chose the gift of Athena, who finally gave her name to the city.
The citizens promised Poseidon that they would raise a temple for him and would grant him the sacrifices due to maintain his favor: in fact Athens was located not far from the sea and the latter would become the center of the civilization.
La guerra poteva portare ricchezze, potere, la pace, anche se i beni che concedeva erano meno vistosi, erano anche pi霉 sicuri e duraturi.
Tutti concordarono con le parole dell'anziano e scelsero il dono di Atena, che diede infine il suo nome alla citt脿.
I cittadini promisero a Poseidone che avrebbero innalzato un tempio per lui e gli avrebbero concesso i sacrifici dovuti per mantenere il suo favore: infatti Atene si trovava poco distante dal mare e quest'ultimo sarebbe divenuto il fulcro della sua civilt脿.
Under the protection of the Goddess of wisdom, Athens became a thriving city, skilled even in wars, Athens maintained the values of prudence, diplomacy, peace, lived without problems: when it abandoned them, decayed and was subjected.
Sotto la protezione della Dea della saggezza, Atene divent貌 una citt脿 fiorente, abile anche nelle guerre, Atene mantenne i valori della prudenza, della diplomazia, della pace, visse senza problemi: quando li abbandon貌, decadde e venne assoggettata.
CONCLUSION
This is just the beginning of the story I want to tell you, but I already wanted to convey to you the emotions and the beauty that this city has left me. In the next posts we will see some particular aspects of the city and I'm sure you will enjoy them so much.
