The Reeds of Sic - Nature Reserve in Cluj county, Romania.

Hello friends,

Another amazing place in Romania?

About 5 months ago I searched the internet for sights in Cluj County or nearby, a little differently, places I did not visit and then I discovered for the first time the images with the wooden path crossing a sea of reeds creating a fairy tale image , and the beautiful weather convinced us to take a trip there, since I saw the landscapes I always thought only there.

The beginning of the journey

Considering the fairly long distance to the destination, I woke up in the morning around 7:00 am, did some routine checks of my personal car and set off.

We started the route from Paulis commune, we continued it on the Mures Valley and when we got close to the town of Deva we went up on the A1 motorway to Sebes, from Sebes we continued on DN1 to DN1N and further on DN1C and the last part of the route I did it on DJ109D.

The total distance of the route was about 340 km and she took 4:40h.

On the way we passed a car accident. " " \"poza1.jpg\"""

Useful information about the reeds from Sic.

Sic Reservation is the second largest reed area in Romania, after the Danube Delta, with an area of 505 hectares. The reedbed is the area that houses some species of birds and animals, which is why the place was called the Transylvanian Delta. When you get there you can leave your car in the parking lot in front of the wooden path from where the route starts through the reeds. To cross the reservation a wooden path has been built, which starts from the road where you can park your car.

The road on the wooden path takes about half an hour, with hundreds of stops until you reach the perfect turrets for moments of rest and why not be able to take those instagramable photos.

It is important to have comfortable shoes and necessarily with a non-slip sole.

In some places the wooden path is sloping or has missing planks, so it is necessary to take these aspects into account when choosing your shoes.

Nature is magical here and the tranquility indescribable, because, although there were people walking through the reed reservation, everyone had enough time to relax.

There is no other way here, I think this is the word that best defines the place, peace.

The reed from Sic is also an ideal place for photography enthusiasts because the photogenic landscape cannot but create images to be posted on social media.

This wooden path, supported on wooden poles, has a length of 1 km and along it you will be able to enter three wooden shelters with thatched roofs where you will be able to read information about the bird species that are found here.

On the route there is also an observation tower where you climb a ladder and from where you can see above all this protected area, if you don't have a drone, because then the photos are fairy tale.
