Broome, Western Australia

Broome holds a special place in our hearts, the red dirt, turquoise waters, white sand and amazing sunsets will never grow old. This place is where 'we' began! After being away for almost a year it was nice to be back for a few weeks. Broome is Yawuru country, traditionally known for its 6 seasons, but simplified it has wet season and dry season. In the wet, October to April, the beautiful ocean is inhabited by deadly jellyfish and the odd croc passing through, it's not wise to swim. The weather is hot and humid, rains are unpredictable, one day will be fine the next day the heavens can open up and roads will turn into rivers, the Plains turn into inland oceans. This year bridges were wiped out with floods, hundreds of kilometres of the main highway was completely destroyed and washed away.
